Barney’s Wedding Cake, anyone?

So I am in the process of germ’ing this summer’s outdoor crop and have a couple Barney’s Wedding Cake freebies from my last Attitude order. I usually avoid most of the promo seeds for fear of the unknown but my nephew really wants me to grow these out for him. Not interested in the semantics of Barney’s business model of “copy and paste”...I’m familiar with how they roll. Just looking for feedback on Barney’s version of WC. Thanks!

I've never tried it and don't like the company, but I know people were complaining that Barney's Mimosa was nothing like the description or the real mimosa so I would assume all their stuff is like that.

I’ve heard the same. It’s too bad they keep sandbagging on other breeders’ success. I have no expectations of their WC being at all like the original genetics....just looking to find out if their version is stable and produces anything worth growing.

I can't say how it compares to other WC yet but I've got one vegging at the moment.
the couple other Barney's I've grown have been good grows and good smoke.

I’m not on a WC mission. Only reason I was gonna grow them is because of my nephew. I just hate wasting time on bunk weed.

My nephew wants me to grow shit I have, but I know where the fire is in my stash. You’re gonna have to make a judgment call, and I’m not going to add anything that you don’t already know.

I did recently buy their guerilla skittlz because a forum member from a different forum had good luck with them. They were cheap so figured no harm if they go flop.
I stay away from Dutch beans but back in the day had a few friends that ran barney's. Never have I seen so many phenos that just has absolutely no nose. Though I have to say one strain that was pretty great was critical kush. That fucker was one hell of a cash cropper, looked pretty good, had good terps and yielded fucking huge, talking 7-8 zips 5 gal pot would be considered on the low side with this one pheno, would easily pull over 10 zips a plant if vegged a month.

I have 4 of barney's stuff on the go at the moment and they look nothing in comparison to another seedbank that doesn't always have a great rep (rqs). Got mimosa evo and gorilla zkittlez on the go and read some awful stuff that's made we I started something else.

Yeah the critical kush is a cash crop, if you find the right pheno it's basically a huge yielding og kush.

I have a friend who swears by their 8ball kush too.

Tangerine dream is junk, forget about that one. Actually just forget about Barney's they used to have something years ago now they just copycats even their coffeeshop has gone to shit.

So how does a company like Barney’s keep selling seeds? They probably have one of the worst online reps of any breeder in existence yet they’re still around and in fact, have one of the largest presence among distributors. You can buy their beans almost anywhere. Defies logic.

Their coffeeshop is immensely popular, last I heard 10-12 kilos a day and the quality is inline with that, terrible.

It used to be good though, back in '07 it was one of the best in the Dam so I guess part of it is the reputation.

I have run some Barney's w/decent results my fav. Haze w/Van Kush this season Cdog91xG13 is L Haze interested to run it,also have Gorilla Cookies but have never opened pack.
