Bastard Bubba Baby!

Finals kicked my ass and kept me away from R.I.U. :( but they couldn't keep me away forever! Over the past few weeks there has been alot of progress! The bubba gump unfortunately was male! All is not lost though because he is a BEAUTIFUL male specimen, meaning he exhibits tight inter-nodal spacing, and he has developed fully formed male parts in two weeks and is on the verge of bursting so I think it's safe to say this strain is fast as all get out, so i'll keep a few clones to choose a father and pop a few of the bastard seeds I have in hopes of finding him a sexy female counter part! I just don't want to give up on this strain yet! I'm no pollen chucker but the Mexican could really benefit from a union with this guy, I mean seriously she takes 14 weeks on the short end, just some food for thought.

The topsy turvy progress has been exponential! The Mexican has finally put on some muscle and turned up her branches and the Blue Widow's have trippled in size and show no signs of slowing!
All together now!

Hey guys! Just a quick update before I head out to finish set up for Gpa's 80th surprise party!
The girls are looking great! The Mexican is slow but steady, unfortunately Dopey ate her grounded counterpart so it's all about her now!

Oh myy, topsy turvys?? Now ive seen it all  i must admit, they are lookin fabulous. Ive seen so many people try to use those things with tomatos and they just end up dead and shrivled up in there. I guess cause ya cant smoke a tomato ;) looks like a nice little citrus tree ya got in the back there, is he of the bastard variety as well or do you know what kind he is? Those pics made me want an orange sooo bad. :):):)

The topsy turvies are cool, I can't remember if she linked the thread or if I just saw it some place, but there was a whole thread about it, and it produced a couple really epic plants that floated in mid air!

Lol the girls seem to be alright with being in the topsy's but when I had a grounded Mexican she was weeks ahead of the topsy and i've noticed they're flowers are slow growing... although they only get about 6hrs direct sunlight haha.
Yah it's a big ol' grapefruit tree and its going into second harvest... I have more than I know what to do with, i'm considering trying my hand at grapefruit wine :-o

The best thing ive ever had made from grapefruit was grapefruit sorbet from a restarant in texas. That should be right up your alley with all that heat :):):)

After reading through yesterday ive been wondering why you guys are running a 16 week finnisher? Im sure the smokes bomb but theres so many other faster horses to bet on out there that idk why the "mexican" plant is so important to ya. Unless she puts on the weight like a sumo i guess, but even still, you could flower out two runs of an 8 weeker in that time. I know you mentioned that you lost your CM strain a while back :( how long did she take to flower out for ya? :):):)

Lol the Mexicans were a bunch of adopted clones, the one in the topsy outside is the last of them! She's def not important, but does have a good yeild and dense flowers for a sativa; Unfortunately I can't speak for the smoke bc the buds were lost to mold in the drying process :-(, so hopefully i'll get some smoke this time!

The CM was a beauty and is curing up well! She finished up in 8 weeks! I miss her sooo much!

long story short we went on vacation while they were in bags drying, they were supposed to get tossed and aired out however the girl we paid to care for the house, animals, and plants left town so we lost several plants, buds, and the cats didn't get fed so there were dead birds everywhere...

ROTFL!!! Im sorry for all the damage but omg.....dead birds everywhere! Thats some funny shit right there! Sucks though :( i bet you never heard from her again.....damn those unrelyable people. Well i guess i can add that one to the list of stories ive heard from growers going on vacation and ending up in a pickle. Lol dead birds everywhere lmfao! :):):)

At least she didn't clean out the house when she took off!
no but she was kind enough to send her brother over to "check" on things and he smoked 2g of oil.... I was like "WTF?! This takes a month for the two of us to go through", lol you always notice when someone inexperienced has been using your glass bc #1 they smoke way too much and #2 they leave your glass on the edge of a table!
