BC Bud...location ?...Strain...?Both???

Here's something I am curious about.
Is BC bud named for it's location or it's strain?
Or possibly....
both...so many different stories and disinformation makes it difficult to root out the riff raff, and find truth.
So I wanted to see what everyone thinks,
and if there is a overwhelming shared opinion...fuck I'm stoned
and I can't figure why Moby Dick is named that ?
I mean why a fucking dick whale and not a orca or something.

Theres ALOT of growers in bc. Its simply because of the location being in british colombia. The history that I know out there was that during nam alot of draft dodgers from the us came into the mountains in bc and started to grow. Alot of good genes have come out of there, and alot of weight.
