Heya, haven't been active here for several years, but wanted to document my outdoor season this year, and figured why not here.

Will be doing picture updates every 2 weeks. Will visit them for watering every 2 weeks, unless it's hot and dry then every week.

10-12G holes, filled with compost, EWC, potting mix (which has been built up and recycled/reused/amended over the years), and 1/3 original soil.

Strains are F2s I made or was gifted, a few of each, I won't be adding strain names to pictures until harvest (just have a number tag in the soil). But I will be taking and posting pictures in the same order every time, so will be possible to compare.

Bruce Banner #3
Dosidos
Buddha’s Cane
Dream Lotus
More Cowbell
Blueberry Cheesecake
Gorilla Bubble
Agent Orange
Scott’s OG x Gorilla Bubble

They are all female seeds except the Dosidos is a regular, which I put in a pot somewhere else in case it is a male, in which case I will collect pollen. I also plan on reversing a blueberry cheesecake (which is also in a pot somewhere else).

It's my first run with these so excited to see what they do, comments and discussions are welcome!

Germinated seeds indoors on April 12, transplanted outside on May 12.
2 were started 2 weeks ago as I needed a few more, so those are the 2 small ones.

MAY 30

Deer trampled on one, but luckily it was big enough to survive it. I have deer walking into all my garden beds and holes, they are very curious, but luckily they don't like cannabis!

I'm getting sun from about 9-5 in these spots so a solid 8+ hours of direct light.

JULY 7

June had pretty mild weather with weekly rain, so I did not need to go visit the plants until today, so it's exactly 5 weeks since the last update!

Wild seeing plants go from 1 ft to 5ft. Overall very happy, nice luscious vigorous growth, interesting how some plants just took off, and others seeming more finicky. Im doing no topping this year as I want to see how tall they get and what structure they develop naturally.

I gave them a top dress of EWC with added Kelp, Alfalfa and Fishbone Meal (added that to the ewc bin a few weeks ago, so that it's readily available and broken down enough that bears do not dig up the plants searching for fish. One plant died, but growing is no fun without a bit of death.

Sorry for the tops of the pictures being cut off, I thought that part would be in the picture as thats how it looked in the camera app but I guess not so!

Here's the strains in the order that I take pictures of the plants every time, so with a bit of counting you can always figure out what is what.

  1. Bruce Banner
  2. Agent Orange
  3. More Cowbell
  4. Blueberry Cheesecake
  5. Gorilla Bubble
  6. Dream Lotus
  7. Unknown
  8. Buddha’s Cane
  9. Blueberry Cheesecake
  10. Scott’s Gorilla (DEAD)
  11. Agent Orange
  12. Blueberry Cheesecake
  13. Buddha’s Cane
  14. More Cowbell
  15. Unknown

Flowering initiated but no pistil clusters visible yet on any strains.

Plants showed deficiencies, nitrogen probably. All that organic matter, as good as it is, its slow release. Will need to use manure and amendments next year, as clearly the size of the hole will not make a difference in this regard. Missed about a month of solid veg growth due to these deficiencies.

Started feeding miracle grow 24-8-16 at (1 tsp/5 Gallon) on August 1 with their weekly watering, and dialled up ( 4 tsp/5 Gallon) now.

I’ve done it indoors, and had a light timer issue which caused my room to herm, which gave some S1’s. I ran 12 of those and they were almost all winning phenos . That’s what these gorillas bubble are.

cat eye sounds great. If I can’t make more s1, I’ll have to get some more of Tonys gg4 work one day.
