BCF's 12/12 Cabinet Grow

Well this is my first post on this site, been trolling for a number of weeks now gathering info essential to my grow. I've grown a half a dozen plants now with poor quality lights, environment and nutrients. This is where I decided to do it right, or close there to. Decided to go 12/12 so I can continuously add plants as others are harvested. I'm no expert by any means, I'm still a noob and thats whey I'm here! Only way to learn is by doing. Post comments, advice, whatever. Plus I have no one to tell about this and have to have an outlet and still stay anonymous.

The Beans!
Recieved some seeds from a friend that came from a bag of Power Kush, it could be Power Kush or a mix with something else. We shall see!
The seedlings have started poking through the surface 12/18/12

Nutrients
General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow and Bloom
Ill be adding things as I see I need them

The Cabinet
3'x2'x6' Overall dimension, inside hight from bottom platform to max light height about 50"
6" Intake fan
6" Exhaust fan
Digital Greenhouse 400watt balast

This is the cabinet, and you can see where my username came from. The top in this pic is unfinished, all done now, thats where my filter is set up and have some "ducting" in the top to hide the 6" vent lines.

Let the fun begin!

So today is day 3 of the grow, out of the 7 seeds I started with only 4 have successfully sprouted. Did some research on the claimed strain to see what exactly I'm dealing with. With said research, I'm almost glad only 4 will make the cut. Hopefully I have better odds with them being females. Still trying to decide if I do wind up with a male, intentionally pollenating a female to get some seeds. Not sure how to do this without totally destroying the buds with beimg all seeds.

Only troubles I'm having now are cabinet temps, kind of wish I had ponied up the extra dollars for a high velocity fan. My solution for time being is piping in some of our winter air up here. This mornings temps were holding steady at 86*F, Id like to shoot for high 70's. Lowest temps I've encountered with lights out have been consistently in the low 60's which I'm fine with.

I'm also a believer that plants have a soul, being or whatever you may call it. So I named the sprouts last night, Suzie, Sylvia, Andrea and Kasia. Here a few pics of the happy lil sprouts!

Nice cabinet.. Subbed!! What kind of soil are you using?
Thanks! I'm using Vigoro Organic soil with some perlite. I've used Miracle Grow moisture control soil before and always wound up with nute burn. This time I was looking for something that was somewhat natural, the Vigoro has regular soil, peat moss and some bark chips. It retains water well with the 400whps.

Subbed Looks like you have a nice setup. Just trying to makeConversation What’s the light schedule? Have you fed them yet?

If it was me I wouldn't
waste the warm air from you grow and blow it outside and I wouldn't bring in cold air either. You paid for the electricity and remember the 3R and heat the house with that warm air. Get a better fan, if you can, that moves more air (higher CFM). You would only need one fan in that case.

I be watching you grow best of luck.

First off sorry to those who were tuned in, and then I disappeared.
Well as the new year approached, I had to go out of town for business so I was forced to shut down shop as it was a lengthy time I'd be away. After I got home I started tackling some of the problems I was having with the cabinet. First was temperature, It was difficult to achieve low 80's. Next was odor control, my dinky little duct fans wouldn't be up to the task of pulling through a carbon filter. Solution! 4" GrowBright HV fan and carbon filter, 14"x6" vent at the bottom back of cabinet for some passive intake action. The fan runs at 60% on the speed controller and is quiet as can be, the bulb is louder with the door shut.
I've been able to maintain low 70's in the cab all week in full run. Put the fan on 100% and i can maintain 1 degree above the current room temperature, which means running a few cycles before the summer months get here.

New Ventilation set up.

3 of the 5 are on day 8 and are just bag seed.
The small greenish pot and front larger pot are Cali kush x skunk 2 (supposedly, got them from a friend)

This is another plant that I have growing right now, its a Passion Flower vine and it was transplanted a week and a half ago. It started looking sad so it was tossed into the cabinet hoping it would come to. The second pic is of the blossoms it puts off, I have the first one growing in my window and its such a nice plant to have around.
