I started the process if thinning out the underside of the screen. I'm going to remove it all over several pruning sessions over the next week. Next Wednesday I stop training and let it grow above the screen.

I'm only on day 10 of 12/12 but the pistols are starting to come in clumps. I've read in other scrog threads that you're supposed to stop training when you see that. The strain is supposed to be a short flowerer.

Should I keep training for another 4 days or let them go now? I've got 24" of clearance above the net and my lights are behind glass and fan cooled. This strain is billed as medium height.

I went to visit my box and found one of the lights out. The same light that went out if you read back several pages. Here is the view looking down.

I called BCNL support and they had me open it up to try and solve it.

They talked me through it and I got it working. Fantastic except I smashed a new HPS bulb while I was cleaning up. Boo.

My next task was to finally turn on the CO2. I've been dying to as I've never used a CO2 tank before (just a yeast/sugar mix in the past). I have one of these...

...and I have one of these....

Everything I need right?

... No, I'm lacking the $2 plastic gasket that fits in here

BCNL is sending me one via snail mail free of charge. So I must wait a few more days.

Anyway, here is the canopy.

I have a T5 that shines on the bottom. Is it worth turning on? It is a but hot and several branches lean on it. Will it add any weight?

Awesome!
I also have a producer.
I have had a hard time finding much to follow here on the interwebs, as far as producer grows go.
I am doing a soil grow for my first time in the producer. I have plenty of dirt experience but none hydro, I figured I would go with what I know and see how she rolls.
Currently I am growing 12 lovely ladies from clone. 8 bannana Kush, 2 Cotton candy Kush and 2 lavender soma #10.
like you I started a grow journal on another site and I will also be transferring over here. I really appreciate your journal so far, keep it up. Subbed.

Thanks Dank Gorilla! An extremely talented grower I know advocated growing with soil in the Producer as he is a big fan of organic. I'd love to see your grow, please post a link in this thread once it's live on RIU (or message me the link to your current grow journal).

Ding dong, the mother plants are dead. Well, my original mother plants are dead. I never liked them so they have been replaced. Meet my new mother plants!

Here they are taking a bath in the sink....

Here they are tucked away in my tiny tent.

I really wanted the gasket for my co2 to arrive before the weekend. The cruel joke was that a small package did arrive this morning that I thought was it for sure. Hopefully it arrives on Monday.

Here is a shot of the canopy on Day 17 of 12/12. (Day 13 of flower)

These aren't quite tops yet but I suppose you could call th nubs.

You can, hopefully, see in this shot that the small leaves are starting to get that dewey look. They are getting slightly fragrant when I open the door.

That's it, no more iPhone bullshit. Time to break out the digital SLR and shoot some proper bud pornography. In a few more weeks the ladies should be looking great and they deserve the best shots I can muster.

My gasket still isn't here and I'm on the cusp of week 4. I really want to get the CO2 fired up. I guess this is the problem when you live in a country where domestic mail can originate from 4412 kilometers (2,742 miles) away.

Hey man,
I was just checking out your pics of the new mom and noticed some specks on the bottom leaves.
Was just wondering if you have checked the bottoms for pests... mites?
I could be totally wrong but I just had a bout with them in my outdoor and wouldn't wish it on anyone.
No offence meant, everything is looking great. Actually... Im having some issues with my producer grow currently.
Could you (or anyone) give it a look and let me know your opinion or diagnosis?

Thank you in advance

There was a few spider mites in one of the moms so I killed her and treated the others with Neem. So far, so good.

I'll take a look at your thread now.

I finally got the CO2 running a few days ago. I can't believe how slow mail is.

Here they are on day 23 of flower

I think I owe my journal some bud porn photos. I'll take some tomorrow night and post them.

My mother plants are doing well. I super cropped both of them and they recovered nicely. I overdid it to one of them and it was almost completely severed but it rebounded and kept growing. It truly is an amazingly resilient plant.
