Beginner Grower

Hello I am a new grower.
-- I am very inexperienced , and need books that will be helpful and appropriately informational for a absolute novice.
I am looking to grow indoors but do not know which method, or even what strain.. I want a successful harvest , and do realize that I will need a good start up amount.
Looking to grow 15-20 plants, and will have space to work with .. Someone set me on the right path, and does not mind constant questions. I do need a direct way of communication so a email would be helpful. Please help ..

beginning with 15+ plants is not a good way to start growing. go to the Newbie Central in the forum section and start reading and asking questions.
start off small and learn from your mistakes. GL

Read the newbie central as much as possible,

Most people's first grows are shabby at best, but your on the right track already just by asking for info!

and also agree on the amount, I have had few outdoor grows before back in the 90ish and I started out with only two (maybe why) indoors

you dont need Email, just use this thread and keep the questions coming

here is a nice and easy to use "guide" that will answer most questions you have, even them you did`t know you had, helped me out a lot in the start when I had a million questions, still use it now and then when I want to look up sum thing:

remember you can never learn too much, and please RESEARCH everything before you purchase anything.

Start with plants that if you f up and wreck em you don't melt down.

start out easy your gunna want a mh/hps conversion light its worth it, upgrade as you go it takes a minute to get the hang of diagnosing and figuring out problems and solutions but once you search forums and had more experiance its a cake walk start out with some bag seed so it doesnt feel like too much of a loss when something happens, PATIENCE IS KEY, dont get your feathers ruffled get a 60x microscope you can get at radio shack mine was 11 bucks use this to check the trichomes in flowering to tell when your buds are perfect, also if you go soil i been using happy frog with no problems i would also say ff ocianic forest mix is good to dont use nutes till around or after the 4th week so the nutes in the soil is gone i been using technaflora box set it was like 40 bucks and i love the additives like sugardaddy works really well, tempurature is also important it should stay in the 70 degrees region with high humidity in veg and low humidity in flower WATER ONLY WHEN THE POTS ARE DRY TO PREVENT OVER WATERING. and set up a feeding schdule watering and feeding are different you feed with nutrient water and you wanna flush the soil with just water atleast evey 2 weeks..

thanks bro, i did just that .. i wanna grow using just 1 light ... i did a little bit of research and everyone tells me to start small and learn . could u recomend books ..

@ everyone you have been extremely helpful .. i am gonnna start to print out the links you all reccomend and start my info gathering.. I need books and links more please .. also i WANT just ONE light .. some of the terms you guys have used are confusing and I need to NO EVERYTHING .. a book for beginners and what grow system is best suited for me and my ambitions

a mh/hps light conversion is one light but you can switch out the light bulbs mh for veg and hps for flowering

its multi use ? I have 3 diff books .. do you reccomend them ..

Yea it is i been using my 600 watt hps/mh for a couple grows now and i love it im about to upgrade to a 1000watt soon but what ever books you get to get the basics down will be good i never used a book most of my info has been from this site and experiance so i dont know too much about the books

what does your set up consist of .. how much have you spent and about how many lights do you have ? what is the basic list to start my grow .. ? how long have you been growing

sounds stupid but i do not know how to PM. i would like to talk to you and get guidance

I been growing for awhile bout 6-7 years now my grow consists of a 600w hps/mh and i also have a 150w hps i started out with and a tent i built my self with panda poly and pvc pipes i spent light 400 dollars on lights and about 60 dollars on tent supplies then for nutrients i spend 40 for a box kit of echnaflora recipe for sucess and 15 $ for soil i use happy frog it works good for me the basic list to get is

lights (start out with a lower watt like a 400 watt hps/mh multi use)
soil
pots (start seeds in a solo cup and transplant it when its big enough for veg.i use 3 gal pots)
nutrients (important to have like i said the technaflora rfs box has everything you need and a handy chart for feeding)
tent (or really a space that will reflect the lumens back at the plants)
hygro meter (tells you the temps and humidy)
patience (it takes alot of patience lol, you gotta do alot of waiting you dont wanna over feed/water and 'budding' dont start till after 12/12 and until you see pre flowers wich will take a couple weeks after sometimes

thanks bro your a great help .. right now im at the library gonna print out this thread to research every term i do not understand & i wanna go buy a book after with my GF .. how much do you think ill spend on my grow op for just one plant to start off .. money is not a issue i can come up with it so numbers only half scare me ..

your welcome bro prices range but id say start out with a budget of 500$ good lights, soil, and nutrients and stuff it might be more it might be less it just depends on if you shop around for deals and stuff lol you gotta love bargains lol

LOL I have been reading here and there on my time off, trying to hustle to get my set up up and running. I understand more lingo and feel much more equipped .. I am going to start off smal and I realize how possible it is for my set up to happen .. I am no longer panicky.. Now to find the right seed bank and seed
