because it is, if you just want to argue then good luck I'm outta here
Hi Steve, are you also an Organic Grower? I only ask as I'm interested in finding out what difficulties you've encountered with salt build ups in your mediums? I grow organically myself with amended soil and occasional use of Biobizz Nutes during the Flowering period and have never suffered myself with salt build ups whether I water with 10% run off or not. I try not to have too much run off at all as I'm trying to feed my soil which in turn feeds my ladies so I'm not really looking to wash out any of the goodness that I've put in. I'm not saying you can't burn plants with organic nutrients as its very possible, just that they're far less likely to leave salt residues than chemical fertilisers that are salt derived. Im not trying to start an argument, just interested in other growers opinions as even after nearly 10years of growing im still always looking to learn. Cheers

yes they are far less likely but you can still burn them if you feed with every watering, like you said you use it occasionally. That's why for example hen manure shouldn't be used in large quantities as It's one of the more concentrated manures . Plants take up nutrients through ions so that's why nutrients are most commonly found in forms of soluble salt. Ions can also be released by the oxydation of organic matter and that's why we use compost in large quantities ( ions are slowly released in this reaction)

Thanks for getting back to me, that makes sense and I believe I read that somewhere myself. Im thinking with the way that i grow/feed my ladies that it's a more gentle approach than following a strict feeding regime such as Biobizz suggest so any residues are minimal or are slowly leached out over time as I water and dont affect the growth of my ladies. In the beginning I used to use grow schedules and experimented with different nutes, but these days I use a much simpler approach and just feed when I feel my ladies are hungry. Do you grow organically yourself?

No problem mate, what your saying is right and i believe too that people shouldn't overcomplicate things unless they are professional's and doing it for a living.

Yes i do but not weed ... corn, soybeans and wheat. i just use synthetic fertilizer (no pesticides) for my weed it's just easier i have so much work on the farm
