Beginner Tolerance Questions

I am new to smoking weed, and would love some of my basic questions answered. I started on the 17th of last month and only needed to take a single hit before becoming incredibly stoned off ~25% THC flower. Everything pretty much progressed as normal until I decided to try a THC vape pen that had ~75% THC oil. I finished the entire cart in 3 days. Suddenly I've been extremely tired since then and can't really get stoned at all no matter how much flower I smoke. Tried 2 bowls yesterday and just kinda felt meh.

Is this normal? Since the THC content is so much higher, it makes since that using a cart would raise tolerance up significantly.

How long should I take a break for? Like I said, I've only been smoking for three weeks.

How do you manage your tolerance? I figured I should always go for the highest THC percentage when buying flower, but I'm thinking this may end up just raising my tolerance faster.

I WANNA GET HIGH AGAIN LOL

Any replies appreciated!

only when there's time, so... day time, and night time.
I'm confused, man. I always see stoners around my area smoking every day and large amounts, and always getting blasted. Maybe I'm just unlucky when it comes to my own personal endocannabinoid system or something, I feel like I'm never as stoned as my friends. I've been told the only way is to do it less often, but it doesn't make sense to me why I should have to put myself through all these limits and strategies. I thought weed was supposed to be super fun.

I feel like I'm missing something BIG to do with tolerance and dosage.

I do appreciate your reply tho

What would people consider to be normal range for flower? And how often is a good rate? How often do you smoke and how much?

Honestly, my tolerance is fucked. I wake up and dab. At work I vape. Once home I dab. I dont get high.

When did this happen? When higher potency pot started being around and easily accessible. I use to get blasted on seedy/stemy brick weed, but I only smoked an 1/8th a week or so... high quality weed in large quantities, seems to be a losing battle...

Once my tolerance was bullshit high, I found that edibles act as booster shots. Do an edible and for the next 4 hours or so, anytime i smoke I get higher for longer.

the reason is because when you flood your brain and body with thc it takes time for it to recover/detoxify and return to baseline. you will experience more ill effects smoking high potency weed frequently than if you were to use it sparingly i.e. dependency and barely getting high. if you insist on smoking weed all the time your best bet is low potency.

Do you have any numbers to use as examples of high vs low potency? Are we strictly talking THC percentage here? It seems so backwards to me since I've always seen stoners depicted as always being stoned and smoking tons of top shelf stuff all the time.

Everybody is different and THC content isn't the only factor. Terpenes for one if you are into that thing, which I am. Depending on the quality of the product you smoke and how it was handled or mishandled, other factors besides THC content enter in. That being said, I get where you're coming from regarding tolerance. I gotta go with Budzbuddha on this one. Blaze away!

i agree with you on the carts. i've found i need to buy 3 different ones: sativa, hybrid and indica based and alternate frequently. if not, i can vape a whole cart in a day and not feel a thing.

It seems like the steps I need to take are either smoking less top shelf or more mids, or take a t-break, or say screw it and smoke a 1g cone and maybe get high. Or ask about terpenes.

My main issue here is just self control, really. I wanna smoke a whole bowl when I load it, but it seems like doing so while aiming for a super high THC percentage is a way to raise my tolerance fast. The more you know?

tbh there's no way around blowing your tolerance without a significant amount of time between smoking, mids or not. your best bet is to not smoke weed it's a bad habit that will suppress your emotional development.
