I will have pics on here tomorrow for you guys to see my babies. To let you all know what I have been doing so far, I started with three plants, one just started to show a ball and I thinking of pulling for possible male, so down to two possible girls. I have been vegging for around 6 weeks am going to go ahead and start flowering today because I have plans for my next bigger and better grow. I will keep this thread updated frequently to show all how the progression is going.

Question: I am going to attempt to flower with CFl's this time and see how it goes. I am going to have (2)48 W 2700K & (4) 32 W 2700K all in close proximity. Do you guys believe this enough to get a decent job done. I know it wont be super, but for my first grow, will it get the job done. Thanks.

I plan on pulling 5+ oz from 6 small plants grown on 388w CFL If you maintain close coverage and you vegged for 6 weeks you should pull a zip or two from each plant with the 230w you're running.

I think it'll be ok if you're plants aren't huge. How big are they? And what exactly do you have them growing in? Just make sure to keep the lights close to bud sites, and it wouldn't hurt you to add more. You might wanna throw a daylight cfl in there (6500k) just to give a larger spectrum. A lot of people say having more of the spectrum helps throughout the growth cycle with cfls. I'm fairly new to this but I think that information should be helpful and I think you could get some more valuable information with a more detailed description of your setup. Keep us posted man!

I will have some pics on tomorrow morning, but they are not really big. I have LST trained on and the other that is more developed is tied down to balance the bud sites. Both are in good sized buckets that should hold there root system fine. I kinda wanted to keep a couple of my 32 w 6700K bulbs in the mix. The bigger one has six large bud sites right now, I think I topped her to early, but hey its my first time and we all learn from mistakes right. Thanks for the posts and please stay tuned for my pics tomorrow. I just hope I remember to take them. I will have to do it before I get torched. :eyesmoke:

Alright guys here we go. I have three plants here. I am not going to pull the one possible male as I can not truely make that call yet. Two plants are tied and trained and the third is somewhat LST trained. Let me here all the opinions out there and let me know what you think. This is again my first grow and so far has been great due to RIU. I will begin flowering this weekend and will give updates as I go through the whole thing and through harvest. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. After all, this is a forum.

nice plants! hard to see though pics are small
That's good enoughh. don't expect a giant yield though. I've been using CFL's in my flowering stage for a while now, with great sucess! I use 13 60w 2700k 1875lumen CFL bulbs and 6 4ft 3000k flourcent bulbs in a close inclosure with milar coated walls. My first 2 plants yielded 2/3 of a pound. If you have any questions about CFL growing I'm sure I could help ya out :weed:

Thanks for the offer to help fourtw0. Yeah, I dont expect much. I dont smoke that much, just ever so often. My girl is the one that smokes and this is mainly for her. An ounce would last me a month or two. Whatever I do get will be more than I had so hey, Im happy with that. My next grow will be better planned out and much better. I want to do a Screen of Green grow. Only problem is until I get a female to clone off of, that is really out til I can get some good cloning down and maybe invest in a small HPS Set up. But I will stay true to the CFL's for several grows.

I just wanted to post an update. I have been flowering for only 4 days now and I can already see vast jumps in size. The babies are really starting to take off now. I will be posting some new pics tomorrow for Day 5 of flowering. I think each plant grew two inches just yesterday.

Alright everyone out there. This is my confirmed female out of the three I have posted. She is pushing 9 weeks old and has now been flowering for 7 days now. I took a quick pic last night and her she is. :weed:

Looking healthy and green man! I hope she produces some big buds for you, it's unfortunate you only have one female so far.. Maybe she'll make up for it :) Keep it up though, and before you know it you'll be:bigjoint:

Just to update on what has been going on and to close this thread out, it appears now that my girl has been stressed out and has gone Hermi on me. She has all the female parts going great and then last night I was looking closely on some of the new growth sections and noticed balls beginning to form. I am going to let her grow out and bud and get the seeds and the little bud I can off of her/him. So much for my first grow.
