bent stalk

one of my seedlings has took a 90 degree turn at the top of the rockwool cube. it has about 1cm of stalk lying across the top of the cube and then shoots up vertical for a couple of inches. its now on its 3rd set of ragged leaves and the tap root has appeared from the bottom of the 1" cube.

Should I just cover it up with rockwool or straighten it with a split straw or similar?

thanx in advance

Auldy :)

Split the rockwool open carefully remove her and and drop her down to one inch below the first leaves. Just that simple. The reason they do this is they are stretching for light so if you dont fix that problem she will do the same thing. The other fix is after you drop her down take her away from the light, put on bathroom counter or something. She, with lack of too much light will begin to concentrate on her roots growing ie the stalk will get larger but she wont grow vertical until you put her back in the veg room.

her sets of leaves have no nodal distance, very close together, I appreciate your help, as soon as I can get a pic I will post in here.

she is starting to straighten up on her own, not totally, but getting there. She seems that healthy that I dont want to interfere with her. I know I might regret this.

cheers for your input

if you take a plant out of direct light, will she always then start to focus more on rootgrowth?
