Besides indica dom or sativa dom what else makes the high different?

I have smoked many types of weed like most of us here have. I know there are like 3 main chemicals that are the primary fuck you up ones.. THC CNB CBN? Smoking certain sativa's can give me different highs. Smoking different indica's give me different stones.. What causes the fluctuation in the buzz? Are there other chemicals in the marijuana plant that can alter the over all effect? Am I imagining that these weeds have different buzzes or is it just the potency itself? There is nothing different inside of Maui Wowi (or however you spell it) as opposed to Purple Power, or is there?
