Best 6" Inline Booster Fan?

Need to purchase a 6in inline Booster fan, not a regular inline. I am looking for quality, decent sounds level, then price. I've compared a few and it seems the ones without the cord are cheaper, but if you want to add a cord you need another relay?, regulator?. The ones with cords have them already it seems.
I've been leaning towards a active air by hydrofarm, it seems to have more fan blades, studier construction.

Is there anyone out there using this fan? Input appreciated.

hydrofarm fans are great for 40 bucks. good power for ventilation and exhaust for smaller wattage bulbs. but if u lay them flat they rub against the wall of the fan making a wired sounds, you have to anglke it to stop this.

looks just like my booster fan. ive had mine for a couple years now so sometimes it rattles a bit. it was whisper quiet until recently though. mine is silver not sure of the brand but it looks identical besides the color. cost me about 30 bucks.

Have to watch that fine print 160 CFM free air flow, 250 Boosted air flow...
Thanks for the link, Are they pretty loud? Not to concerned just noise concious
Seems like a lot of money for adding a cord.
I have two from this guy

a 6" and a 8". The 6" is 240cfm FREE AIR. You have to connect a cord ...any 2 wire lamp cord as it is pretty low amps.
The 8" really moves quite a bit of air. It is rated @380 cfm free air and is only 33.95.
I have it adapted to a 6" duct. It makes a bit of noise but I have it as close to the outlet as possible. The more you back it up, the more quiet it will be (but less powerful).
:peace:

Wow! You just suggested a vendor that recently ripped me off as they never filled my order. When did you order these? I wonder if it is before the business went downhill. I've been posting about my experiences with this company in the grow room design section.
really? I have bought from him twice with no problem yet. First time was last year about June and again a couple of weeks ago. Sorry about your experience.
If I was you I definitely wouldn't buy from him (as if I had to tell you that) but there are others with similar prices online.
I have only had a bad experience with one vendor on Ebay and that was because he didn't know how to address a package to the US.

It seems the complaints I have been reading about the company are rather recent but with the economy the way it is it is no surprise to me to see a company in financial distress. People die, business fail, warehouses burn down, ect....
Who knows, I am just hoping for a positive outcome.
