Is HGK really a 2013 strain?
Come on everyone.
I like the feedback and interaction, but this thread is for strains that were released this year.

There's so many strains....and mixed with so many other strains....it's hard to tell when something was first introduced....at least for those of us that don't study the latest and greatest.

But then again there's those of you that are well-versed in such things....I'm stoned and probably should just shut-up and learn.

I ran the extrema myself and it wasnt horrible. I would say its average, and that was me growing the chem d pheno. The first run i spotted a few sacks, which wasnt a biggie. Second run, smoke was way better and i also hit it with reverse. Just watch them closely cuz they will seed your shit up. Hope you got the chem d pheno!
Just want to give you a heads up about the reverse, it has been pulled from the shelves there is some serious shit inside that little bottle and if you value your health I wouldn't spray it ever again. Usually im not so fanatic about a product but if you google it you will find the truth.

It is still available in most places, certainly here in CO. While it is true that Ethephon, which is the active ingredient in reverse, is technically an artificial PGR, many of which are seriously dangerous to use on plants intended for human consumption, ethephon is rapidly metabolized by the plant into ethylene, a compound that is naturally occurring in plants. For this reason, ethephon is used on all kinds of commercial crops including pineapple, wheat, rice, and non-food crops such as tobacco and cotton. Not that its totally harmless, but as far as PGRs go, its nowhere near as harmful as something like paclobutrazol (found in products such as Bush Load, Flower Dragon, or Phosphoload) which ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT BE USED ON CROPS INTENDED FOR CONSUMPTION OF ANY KIND. I'm also fairly sure that Reverse specifically instructs users to not use the product too far into the flowering/fruiting stage of plants. I've used reverse, but only on plants that were in the extremely early stages of bud production, It is an eye and skin irritant, but studies have found it to be non-carcinogenic, as opposed to the more well known artificial PGRs.

Thanks for the heads up. I only used it 2 times about a yr and a half ago. Thanks for the words of caution!

Shouts out to Nirvana's Blue Mystic. Colas are a little wacky looking but the smell; omg. Blueberries and toasted blueberry muffins. Not too much blue pigmentation in any I've grown. Low scent during flowering (unless you touch a bud of course). Ummm also; I haven't sampled the crop but Seedism's Diesel grows "vigorous" as fuck!

It'll be no surprise to anyone that has read my posts that I really really really like Kannabia Seeds "Mataro Blue". Any plant that gives me almost a 1/2 lb of really great weed that has a nice long-lasting indica buzz is on my "highly recommended" list.
Freinds of mine have had great sucess with Kannabia Seeds they stumbled across in 2013. Specifically, Kannabia 'Smile' and 'Aphrodite'.
Aphrodite is a good producer with an amazing sativa high on an 8 week flower cycle.
Smile has such an appropriate name, in just so many ways. Its an orange scented bush with a huge yield of rock hard nugs.
After what Lilroach said, I think Kannabia seems to have a nice selection worth further exploration.
I hope they have some Kannabia BCN Diesel ready soon.

The strawberry dogshit from Connoisseur Genetics has some interesting phenos. First drop of 3 gave me 2 different phenos structurally (one was short and stocky with dense thick buds, the other was stretchy(2-3x) with loose bud structure), they both had some great strawberry odors, potent, frosty, and killer euphoric buzz. Both were on point from all standpoints but lacked the pungent flavor I was looking for. Basically a third of a pack let me know it is worth pheno hunting the cross, I'm positive there's a keeper in that pack.

**Also boss hogg from tcc is pretty kill, only had a premie taster so far but it is killer from that sample alone. It can only get better ;)

Yeah, noticed that right off the bat. People didn't seem to actually read the OP.
I don't think I grew a single strain this past year that was RELEASED this past year.

Oh actually the Snowcap La (AKA Snowland) or whatever from DNA Limited.
It was good.

My favorite was Dinamex from Dinafem. It had a citrus/spice taste that I loved. I also liked the G13 Cindy 99 a lot, good yielder and fruity smoke.

Good: Cannaventure flaming cookies and gage green banana puff

bad:none really...
I am interested in anything that has Banana Kush in it.
I am watching everything that mentions it in a cross.
I see a whole bunch of Banana crosses coming this year.
Once you get mentioned in a top ten strongest strains list, popularity gains.

Was the G-13 version of the C99 a cut from Brothers Grim?
I heard it was a replication of the strain.
Not that it wouldn't be worth growing, but I see a lot of companies, producing popular favorites, based on terpine/flavor profiles, created to mimic the same properties of newfound strains or crosses. It's hard to have faith in descriptions alone.
Look at all the GSC versions this year. What's legit?
Go with the breeders you trust and have had positive experiences with, and grow, baby grow!

I love their Special Queen and Special Kush. Have a Dance World from RQS going right now, and it seems to be doing well. Have been wanting to try a couple of their Auto's, but may just hold off now.
special queen is still my skunkiest strain

Its a heavy yeilder, but mine woud never get to what i call finished without sprouting some nanners, and the taste and high were nothing special or didnt seem to be at the time but was still miles ahead of the dinafem industrial plant i had going with it. But still a 2012 strain lol.
Going to be germing my ggg lemon puff and mindscape for my next run, last run of pre 88 g13/hashplant, medman karosene and silversurfer will start flower this week sometime so i have about two months to sort the ggg stuff and find a good g13/hp male to ames some seeds to give away.
