Best Compassion Clubs in the Seattle Area

Hi RIU WA,

I live on Bainbridge and I just got my authorization yesterday... it looks as though Kitsap Co. has maybe 3 dispensaries and they are all delivery only. So what are your favorite dispensaries in the downtown, capitol hill, first hill, sodo, queen anne or equally easy to get to on one bus, area...whew.

I am looking for of course quality, and service, but also any additional info such as, credit cards accepted yes or no, do they sell clones and are they any good if they do, and proximity to downtown ferry terminal is huge.

Any tips from more seasoned patients would be much appreciated!

Cheers!

Keen!

They are all bad man. Over priced, over fertilized, poisoned with pesticides and fungicides, under flushed, no cure, machine trimmed & most still have PM and/or Mites as an added treat. Then they have the attitude that you are lucky to get to go into their store and pay $10-15/g to buy from them. Find an honest grower or grow it yourself. Inspect anything you buy nowadays with a scope before you pay and especially before you smoke. Break it open and look for PM too. If they wont let you, fuck them. Also there is no way to tell what toxic pesticides/fungicides they used during the grow to combat PM/Mites/root aphids etc. Scary place for consumers nowadays, is there some reason you can't grow your own?

I can grow my own. I think you're viewpoint, although valuable, is a tad one sided. While I am sure lots of the dispensaries are out to make a fast buck (by now I have been to all of the places within 3 miles of downtown), a few have what I would say is genuinely good product (and I have been living in the area for long enough to know what the black market prices/quality is). Recently I went to "BOTH" on cap hill and had some very friendly service and the buds were really beautiful. $10/g is less than $40/ 1/8 which is cheaper than if you got it from some random. And until I am more skilled at growing and get a harvest in I have to use a dispensary. I do agree though, I have been to at least two places that were pretty bad. I havent got clones though so mites have not been an issue. I am currently growing from seed (nirvana snow white, ice and papaya).

If you got a place you like keep going there. I'm not gonna tell you to stop doing something that's working for you. I just know what I've experienced myself and heard from others I know.

The bottom line is, dispensaries are paying vendors shit right now. The market is so flooded with growers that dispensaries can really abuse the system. With that logic, I wouldn't imagine the top quality medicine is being offered at dispensaries. Growers skilled enough to grow true top shelf have other resources and the lowballing dispensaries never see their product. If a grower does get a fair price for quality it's overpriced so high to the patient it's obscene. Clubs still have to get their standard 100% + markup you know, regardless what they pay.

I disagree that $40-1/8th is cheaper than if you got it from "some random." Medical street prices right now are $180-240/zip bro. What's that like $20-30-1/8th? And there is some true A++ to be had in this range if you meet the right person (the grower). But it IS a bit of a crap shoot. You have to kiss a lot of frogs sometimes. Too bad you're so far away or I could show you some shit for $240/oz that would make you spooge. PM me if you ever make it to the Woodinville area!

I can make it out to Woodinville no problem! When I said some random I was talking more pre-medical. I only just got authorized. I guess I just dont know any growers... Bainbridge is kind of odd in the way that there is likely a very good grower per capita ratio here but if you are a new guy (only lived here for 3 years) its hard to 'break in'.

I guess it makes sense regarding dispensaries. I just didnt realize they were marking up THAT much. So they pay only $5/g or less for what they sell? I did notice you rarely get a deal on quantity... ie $10/g bud is $280/oz, which is kind of lame.

One day soon I will be self sufficient in the medicine category.

I like Cannatonic Society and Rainier Wellness in Tacoma. Cannatonic does testing on all their varieties and even have high cbd meds at times. Check em out. Rainier has the best blueberry I have come across lately.

Get it from a grower you get good deals and if there good and know what they are doing the quality is GREAT.
There's this older dude that is on cl out of Issaquah and Redmond, That guy can grow some killer Med's he always delivers in glass jars and he has like 7 strains.
The guys name is Chris he knows what he is doing and never over 200 an oz. Save some $ check him out.

self sufficient is the idea for sure but it takes a while to get to that point. finding the right varieties is a chore albeit a fun one.

agreed... self sufficiency in all departments is a good thing. I sure wish I had $3000 to buy the Volksgarden, I could be growing fatty heirloom tomatoes and red peppers in my garage, in winter, in the PacNW LOL.

I have grown veggies indoors before. It does work. I didn't have any cannabis seeds so I had other plants in the garden with some t5 lighting. Plants loved it.

oh sweet, what veggies, I have been trying to research photo response of other plants (like do you have to 12/12 all annual fruiting plants or is that just MJ?) The master plan is to have blue/rasp/huckleberries in the yard, a couple apple trees outside, and a veggie garden with root veggies outside. But I want the stuff that wont grow here like tomatoes, chili peppers and maybe avocados indoors.

mostly herbs like basil, etc. peppers did well, and tomatoes did pretty good. I think those plants just need 18/6 photoperiod. They aren't tied to the seasonal changes of sunlight. I know avocados take like 10 years before they produce any fruit but they are supposed to be cool houseplants. There is a lot of info online about starting seeds from an avocado so check it out.

thank you, my fiance enjoys starting avocado seeds, then she just suspends the roots in water and they seem to grow. They dont thrive of course but somehow the roots dont rot.

avocado plants are great house plants from what I understand. I have been trying to start a seedling but it takes several weeks and I always forget to change the water. I need to step it up a notch or two and get the job done. hopefully my housing situation will change soon and I will have room for more house plants. The darn cats just love eating/playing with my plants.

SMMA in the Fremont has the best medicine that I have ever had! In my opinion I would put it on par with Amsterdam and definitely California as far as quality goes. Never been disappointed yet. But working on becoming self sufficient.

Yeah SMMA is a great place if you like rude, arrogant people who sell mite infested clones and medicine. That snap crackle pop you hear when you're burning their pot isn't a bad flush! yuck...
