Two part question really...

What are some good strains for adding flavor to right before harvest?
What are some nice flavors that can bring out the best potential in weed?

Mine so far was some kind of Kush with pumpkin flavor I got from a cook at Boston Market.

I don't know anybody who adds real flavour to your weed, or how you would go about doing it, but i always prefer kush over most bud.

The best smell in herb is herb. Adding stuff takes away from the herb, in my opinion. You can add molasses water to the soil or some other carb-in-a-bottle to your hydro res. late in flower to sweeten and swell your buds

jesus who the fuck flavors their weed? Is that even possible? And if it is then its a totally fucked up idea. In a day and age when the MAN is banning flavorings in tobacco you gonna ruin some perfectly good weed and/or some artificial flavoring for what???

I wrote a thread about flavour curing about 6-7 months ago.I do it all the time.Citrus works well as it releases it oils when you bake the peel in the oven.People seem to think you shouldnt mess with the flavour of mj,and when you have some stinking shit i couldnt agree more,but....Ive grown strains that just beg for a bit of fruitiness, super haze from CH9 for eg.Flavour curing is in no way ment to change the flavour of your green,,just inhance what flavour is already there.

^ tells how to do it. Its super easy. People can remember smells more vividly than anything else and that is proven. So no matter what if you have unique smelling weed people will remember it much longer than if it just smelled like normal weed, which is good if your able to come up with something that works well.

P.S. Why wouldnt you want to use artificial flavors?

not using artificial flavours is just a personal opinion,When I use citrus in my cure I prefer to use real fruit rind and not a flavour that someone in a white coat has made in a lab. When ive used vannila in my cure ive always used vannila extract instead of vannila essence, the difference being is that extract is extracted from the pod and essence is made in a lab...I suppose there is nothing wrong with using man made products its just personal choice.I suppose its the same reason why i dont grow hydro...Give the flavour cure a try,it is pretty easy, ive found that the herb wont adopt the flavour you are using unless you cure for at least 20 days.

Why stop at artificial flavors, why not throw in some artificial coloring, some food dye, or maybe some artificial preservatives too so it remains fresh and potent longer?

I have gotten high for 43 years and grown for almost 39 years and every now and then someone thinks that if they add some flavor to their curing, or in some cases growing, herb that it will taste better and that they will like it better and that other people will like it better.

If it worked well and if it were what people wanted an entire industry would have been created, there would be a large number of businesses by now that sold products for flavoring your weed.

What people want most from the herb they toke is to get high or to get stoned or some combination of the two. If a grower wants herb with a unique or different taste, then they should pick a strain or strains that will naturally give them a unique or different taste.

It's myth and old hippie folklore. It said you may need to use gallons of orange juice. Do you have any idea of how difficult it would be to control your pH level and not kill your plants if you poured something as acidic as orange juice on them, or the strawberry concentrate that was mentioned?

In my nearly four decades of growing I have never known of anything like that, that works well, works consistently and will not cause plants to have problems, and I have seen the let's try to flavor our weed' craze or fad come and go a number of times over the decades.

If adding things to soil to give plants flavor works why is it that people who grow organically and their fertilizer, that they feed to their plants many times during the period of time it takes to grow a crop, may contain steer manure or bat guano or kelp not end up with herb that tastes like cow shit or bat shit or kelp?

If you want good tasting pot or unique smelling pot, then grow strains that have been bred to create/have their own good tastes and unique odors.
