So im setting up an ebb-and-flow system with buckets and mesh pots. Should i use grow rocks or coco, or a mix of clay-coco?

Dont mix mediums,it makes cleaning harder, coco isnt the best medium for systems with pumps as its very easy for coco to get everywhere.

If you go with clay rocks dont use hydroton,it is filthy out of the bag & requires cleaning before use,the product also falls apart the longer you use it,the worst is the shit floats out of the net pots & gets all over.

Use a product called hydrorock, its made of clay like hydroton but isnt round,it looks like natural rock,it dont fall apart as fast, its cleaner & it will not float out of the pot,the random shapes of the rocks lock together & make a more stable platform for holding the plant up.

Hydrorock is what you want.

I have been growing in an Ebb and Flow tabe for over year now and I only use the Grodan blocks. I use the 6" blocks. You can check out my grows on my signature links to see my results.

I set up a Ebb and Flow tray with air pots and coco chips, I converted it to a top drip feed system. If you are using mesh pots I assume they are "smart pots" you can use whatever medium coco is fine because it wont leave those pots, dont let people scare you there are easy ways to go around using coco with a ebb and flow you could buy one of those "pump socks" to wrap around your pump or hell dude use a pantyhose and you will be fine and you wont have clogs. And if you do a res change every week and clean your pump then you should have no problems. Plus you get kind of a organic taste with coco versus hydroton.

Are those kind of like those sure to grow white rocks?
