Whats The best temperature to run my grow room using a living soil I’m using a portable a/c in a 10x20 room using led hlg 600 rspec, barrina light bars , and sunraise 1000 watt lights over a 10x6 scrog I have two oscillating fans and a 12” exhaust fan before the a/c the room would run around 80 to 83 degrees and plants would show heat stress a little but not using a living soil then and now that I am I want to maintain a better controlled environment so whats the best temp to run with I was thinking between 72 and 75 degrees through out whole cycle with about 65 to 55 percent humidity
Depends on a few factors; however the "standards" for indoor grows are typically 75-78F with RH at 50-60% in veg and 30-40% in flower. I personally run 50-60% the entire cycle if I can provide it. Sufficient airflow, sanitizing, and other precautions should ensure mold is never an issue even with high RH.
I'm only familiar with the HLG LED brand, are those other lights LED as well? Very high intensity lights such as
good LED lights and DE bulbs perform way better when CO2 is supplemented. The extra CO2 really helps the plants take full 100% advantage of those LED/DE lights.
Sure, you can get good results without CO2. However, providing CO2 is very simple, having zero downsizes and a ton of positives. Was a $500 initial investment for me. $200 for the controller on Amazon, and $250 for the 4 burner propane CO2 generator on ebay. Bought that CO2 generator nearly 5 years ago, still works great. Just need a propane tank and you're golden.
While that may be a fairly large investment, the results are well worth the money. You can run your temps from 80-85F with CO2 (some go up to 87-88F even), so now you're AC is running less. While the generator does heat up the room, its quite negligible, especially since we want 80-85F (I like 82-83F). However, extra CO2 = extra photosynthesis, which means you'll be watering and feeding at higher frequencies.
With LED/DE lights, you also need to be mindful of vapor pressure deficit. When using single ended bulbs, VPD was something I never had to worry about. However, these new lights are not only way more intense, but also have way more usable light. As a result of your plant making use of more light, your plant(s) will require specific RH% to avoid causing issues with light/heat stress. I found 50-60% RH to be a sweet spot; anything past that was uncomfortable, and anything below that and my plants looked like shit.
As for soil temps, that is going to be dependent on the plant itself. Indoors for weed, one doesn't need to concern themselves with soil temps all too much as the temps will be the same as the environment they're in. Microbes themselves are capable of taking a lot of abuse, and often simply go dormant should they be exposed to extreme temps.
