Yea that’s why I’ve always overlooked “purple kush” from any breeder because the sales page breeder pics always show 100% purple buds which these weren’t. They were very small popcorn nugs that were mostly green but sort of glowed with violet frosty coating especially on the tops of the buds. This pic on the sales page of “ultraviolet og” over at a Dutch site is what I reckon this strain might have looked like when growing, and it looks real similar to the bc kush pics as well

Peakseeds was using it in his crosses. He had a very old cut. Kushberry is nice smoke

i lost the cut and have tried 4 packs of the feminized version without any luck…sadly regular seeds aren’t available anymore just like the old sensi star from paradise..stinkiest weed I’ve ever grown next was that HGK from Dna..

The Paradise Version (original breeder) offers feminized only, and likely newer stock without the funk, like you said. Delicious seeds has a non femininized version, and the DNA Super Star also, which is said to be old school. Then I tracked down a score on strainly of Jordan Of The Islands Sensi Star F2... I am hoping I have some luck. Although its not a project I'm getting into too soon, i will let you know if one of them still has the odor... and send you some F2s..

You sure times back then a decade ago aren't just nostalgic? Times seemed so much better, 'easier' back then than they do now

Kosher is good. May run a couple next spring. I'm loving the pre 98 bk again. Seriously slow starter. great early reward outdoors here.

Nah, I've been a OG fan since my college days. That plant had all the OG flavor and potency you could want, I just didnt have much growing experience back then. Been growing nothing but OG/Chem/Diesel crosses from seed since then and that plant still stands out in my memory. Reserva Privada/DNA was actually good back then.

Then does the plant above look like bubba to you?
beautiful plant but does not look like bubba to me.Bubba has way broader leaves with a very distinct shape.

I never been fortunate enough to grow her. Crazy_composer on IG for sure has the real deal pre98 cut and it does look different, but outdoor plants can look a lot different than indoor. The bottom pic is day 32 and the top is day 48
