Well two of the flower clones have mold on them. Chucked them and will try with the top off for the rest.

I'm gonna build an aero or bubble ponics cloner . Which would you guys go with? Any tutorials or threads or pics from builds?

Can I transplant clones from the neoprene collars out of a cloner into soil/coco? A buddy wants a few clones but he's growing in soil.

Hey @diggs99 . My DIY aerocloner is a pretty simple setup.
Now,I use a 3.5 gal bucket. Previously when I needed 25+ clones I used a Rubbermaid tote.
Parts-
Container of choice
PVC pipe 3 way Ts and 90 degree elbows.
2 end caps(unless you build your manifold into a square)
Mister/sprinkler heads
Drill/bit
Submersible water pump.
Neoprene collars(I use pool noodles)

Build the Pvc manifold to fit inside your container.
Drill holes into Pvc to insert mister/sprinkler heads
Attach the manifold to your pump using the Pvc 3 way T

Timers are optional. I've used 24/0 15 on 15 off timers and finally settled on a DIY cycle timer.2mins on 5 mins off.

More of a z shape with caps at the end.

Yes you can move an aerocloned clone into soil or coco.You don't want them getting roots as long as these tho,it'll take them a second to adapt to the soil and will look unhappy if you do let them get this long. With my soiless media,perlite/turface or coco cut 50/50 perlite, they don't skip a beat.
There are a few areo and bubble cloner tutorials if ya hit Google.
I think HydroRed has a bubble cloner build in his thread here.
He certainly does have a build on the Chucker's site.

I'm gonna use a cooler as my container, it seals tight and has a drain at the bottom to remove water easily, got some 2" neoprene collars.

I have a 396 gph pump here already, I think should be fine.

I did some googling the past couple days and found a few that look very similar to yours. They seem fairly easy to build, I'm gonna give it a shot.

I'm 0-14 cloning so far lol

I have a 396 gph pump here already, I think should be fine.

I did some googling the past couple days and found a few that look very similar to yours. They seem fairly easy to build, I'm gonna give it a shot.

I say do it! You probably have most of the parts laying around somewhere.
The cooler idea is pretty cool.Not sure I've seen one.
If I may. The cloners don't need draining per-say. I mainly use tap water only except when I'm experimenting with bennies or feeding nutes from leaving them in the cloner too long.
The simpler the container,the easier it is to refresh the water in it. I know a hole saw will make easy work of the cooler lid.
But a bucket and a lid will net you 15-20 sites double if u put 2 clones per collar.
Which ever route you go,update your creation when you finish it please.

I was using jiffy pellets and a dome, I think both times it got way too humid inside the dome and I killed them? That's just a guess tho, I'm not really sure what happened.

I had them placed under cfl bulbs .

Yea those domes can be the Bain of a clones existence. If your cloning area RH is high enough,the dome isn't needed IMO. Toss it in the veg area shaded by other plants. CFL bulb is fine also.
I pop beans in peat pellets,Dome comes off as soon as they pop the pellet.

imo things like cutting off fan leaves and the ppm of your starter solution are not make or break factors when cloning.

also aerocloners are overhyped.

pH 6.0, clonex, rockwool, patience.

Ugh, i only have 2 tees here, so cant build the manifold the same as what ive seen.

im wondering if it would matter if i just put the pump to one side of the container and used a riser up to 1 t and use 90s to make the loop?

im baked, not sure if that even makes sense lol

Yup,you can do it anyway to close the "loop" sorta speak.
When I get to the spot,I show you My z manifold with end caps.
With that pumps pressure,it's location on the manifold is moot.Now,depending on how big it is,there may be balance issues with the manifold wanting to tip the pump over.In my. In my mind's eye,that's a big ass pump and should hold the weight.

Should the stem be in the water or just close to it
Bubble cloner? Or aero? I haven't run a bubble cloner but I think the idea is the same.
If bubble,you want the bubbles to bursts and splash the stem,they needn't be submerged.
Teasing the roots out if you will.
Aero,same idea.Water droplets misting the stems.

Rockwool and domes still working.

Cloner water temps were a challenge for my hot environment. But on the bright side, a good fit for DJM method. This winter Ill be rockin my psycloner.

Mother deployed outside at my Bros house. A little space in veg box now. Ahhh

All near pencil sized cuttings.
Now going to see how long I can push keeping them in the rockwool slow lane.
Domes in pic are not needed at this point. Im still using them to help retain cube moisture between feedings. I assume once the new green growth starts will be forced to coco cup the cubes.

The longer darker roots are older clones that I was feeding Megacrop to.When I put the new clones in,I changed the water out back to str8 tap.The new clones' roots are more white

So your not giving any nutes, just straight tap water?

I'm gonna set one of my tents up for them , so environment should be fine, no need for dome.

I gotta finish up the cloner when I get home. Hopefully it will be up and running tonight
