hey thanks on the blog. Are there legitimate benefits to seeking out certified organic products?
nice blog btw
for me the advantages to using certified organic products are real. the certification process includes testing, and even certified organic products from OMRI can contain up to 4% synthetics. but OMRI tests for synthetics and they can tell you if your products are:
1) certified organic
2) how close to 100% organic
3) that the company's claims have been tested
Many claims by companies of organic or natural don't mean shit, and unless the product has been tested for synthetics, then the labels can/will lie. Oregon has great standards and many common ganja products are not allowed there. That is for two reasons:
1) the company doesn't want to undergo scrutiny
2) the company is too broke to afford testing
if either is true (i'm thinking of Advanced nutes and General Organics) then I won't use the products as there is no verification on the NPK values, and of the lack of synthetics.
Also, on the vending end, some dispensaries want to know what you are using, and they may prefer certified organic products. BUT I only know one certified organic ganja grower, and they only certified his outdoor. We are technically BIO growers as we are not certified organic. BUT in the next 5 years my indoor will be certified organic, and it will carry that stamp to the dispensaries like my buddy who got his outdoor certified.
