I've tried the guessing game too...turns out i'm right about 2% of the time...lol
The connoisseur breeds are a little easier to distinguish through taste. Blue cheese is a very easy one to pick out...smells like cheesy fruit, and tastes even better.

I'm in the process of trying to get a clone of green crack, once i get it then i will be crossing it with one of my male pollen i have.
I have God bud, big bud, white rhino, and currently i am growing out a new one that i just did of a god bud X white rhino.

Looking for a variety that won't flower during the short summer hours at 30 degree N lat. Hoping to start from seed in winter, veg all spring, plant outdoors, veg outdoors all summer and harvest in the fall.
Suggestions?
