Whats up guys, just had a quick question. Im about to grow a 16x20 (8 ft. ceiling) and wanted to do 6 air cooled 1k hps lights. I could fit 8 1k lights in my room but i opted for 6 so it wont be soo cramped on space. What are my best options for reflectors. Magnum xxxl's ? adjust a wing reflectors ? sun systems has a whole shit load of reflectors. i just don't want to make a mistake !! if i got a 4x4 tray do i opt for a reflector that just covers 4x4 and for a 4x8 tray , a reflector that covers 10x10 ? is this correct ? thanks for your time !!

yesterday i saw a xxxl 1k watt covering a 4x4 tray. buddy had just 5 monsters under it and there was no extra room for a 6th plant !!! easy 1 -1.5 lb of bubba off 5 plants

I have a magnum xxxl and some block buster hoods. I like the blockbusters more. They are more air tight, way easier to swing open and clean the glass and change bulbs. I have a room with 1 magnum xxxl and 1 blockbuster and the 1/2 of the room the blockbuster is on seems brighter, the light seems more evenly spread and brighter. The 1/2 of the room with the magnum seems more diffused, and less bright. And to be honest the corners of the room even seem brighter on the side with the blockbuster, even though you would think the magum would spread better, it doesn't look like it to me, I just raise the hood a bit more if I need to spread the light wider, 1000watts is intense enough you have to raise them up more usually anyway.

My $.02

I use sun system yeild masters. They do leak a bit around the sides, but I am pulling air from a different room that is cooler so I believe it helps keep my temps a little more manageable.
