Best Seed Options for short season/the north?

I emailed them and they said two new breeders are joining and they will be getting restocks and new strains over the next few weeks from both new and existing breeders.

I appreciate the offer, but I would prefer not to share my details with anyone so I'm pretty much stuck with seed banks or local friends.
Good to hear and understandable! Best of luck to ya!

Damn, you got more wildlife issues then me. One spot is pretty safe, deer don't feel safe in this area (like one deer goes through per year, running.) The other spot is only 300 yards away but where the deer feel safe and will be around daily, it's also going to be in the middle of a deer food plot. I'm hoping some pepper spray on them and being in the middle of a plot of tasty stuff will protect them well enough. No bear issues are likely, pretty low population within 30mi of me.

I'm a hunter so I will start my season early with my bow if they fuck with them. Win win for me.
Better make sure u secure them. The deer love some werd plants.

Hey bro in same general area as you just a few degrees up north of you. Shitty growing season here compared to most IMO but this is where I live and after a few failed seasons with healthy plants that didnt Finish I did some research more into strains for my area. I stumbled upon royal canadian marijuana collective and although I only placed an order for a few strains I was more than satisfied with all of them. Plus many freebies. I have had great luck with highrise seeds patriot medicine and guerrilla kush. I also had great luck with alternative seeds texada time warp x nl #5) x texada time warp f4. Finished end of sept and nice smoke for sure. Their might be better options available but these strains have worked for me. Good luck and happy growing
Hey BeastyBeanz, How was the potency on the Patriot Medicine and Guerilla Kush? Which did you like best of the three (the Texada, Patriot Med, or Guerilla Kush)? Damn it's cold today!

Check out Oregon Green Seed. They have old landrice strains developed to be grown outdoors in northern climates.
I've also had great luck with Oregon Diesel. Great strain but hard to find.

Most indica and Indica heavy crosses are well on their way long before 12/12 outdoors. Most will start at about 14/10. And breeding your own seeds will lead to more productive plants for your area. They will know to flower faster next year.

I'm a bit afraid to breed outdoors. (plants that is, fucking I have no problem with that outdoors) I will have to see what level of wild pollination I see in this first year. I really don't want any local ditch weed genetics. I would be more comfortable crossing one of my NL or mixed seeds from Peak Seeds BC with another indica or another Canadian bank seed or whatever combo on a controlled indoor breeding run in a contained breeding chamber (trash/55gal drum, hepa intake and exhaust, to be built.)

Kind of the point. You want your male and female both outside. The next generation will flower earlier. I know people say pollen can travel. Just keep males a good distance away and cull males as soon as pollen is collected. I've never really had a problem with wild pollination but every body and there brother don't grow here either.

It's not from people growing, it's from train tracks. Once upon a time apparently hemp was shipped through in open top railcars. The entire area is filled with high hemp genetic weed, it grows a decent size bud of the worst headache inducing weed on the face of earth. I've avoided it myself allowing my friends to be the test subjects multiple times in the past, they seem to forget once a year. But it always goes in the trash after the first pipe.

Interesting.
I live in non medical state that grew hemp for years and just started again.
Then again water is supposed to neutralize pollen. I wouldn't see past crops a problem with rain since shipments.

Just read a little closer. It grows wild. That may be an issue.

Srry for the delay in getting back but the texada time warp was by far the most potent. Guerilla kush was also a decent smoke but phenos were all over some finished early sept and had a few not even finish by oct 9th I believe when I pulled. One pheno was an unusually large yielder of quality smoke that finished just in the nick of time at the end of sept. pat meds was a sept 5-15 finish with nothing too potent but decent smoke. Fairly uniform with subtle differences between each pheno. Hope that helps

Thanx Beasty, that's exactly what I needed to know. I've always been curious about the HIghRise and the Alt Seeds stuff.

When I ordered seeds last I didn't think much about outdoor. I don't have much outdoor experience (with weed) and from what I am hearing not many of the strains will fully mature in an average year here. Pretend I'm in Fargo, ND it's slightly more harsh/shorter season there than here so plants that do well there would be perfect. July/August are very hot and humid.

The seeds I have that may work so far are:
Northern Lights
A mix of Northern Lights Crosses
One Autoflower seed (comically, Northern Lights)

I know pretty much any auto will work, so lets stick with non-auto please.

I have two locations, one can't get too stinky, but neither has any strong guerrilla requirements.
Nope, buy new beans...kush dominant generally begins flowering at 14 hours of daylight as opposed to 12...plus NL is weak in THC content across the board.

2nd That !! But be careful..You your Iranian strains need to finish dry and early..they are fairly suseptable to molds.

i'll never grow anything kush dominant again outdoors after last years nite mare grow at 37.5n lat..ya it grows great and and it a monster till about week 5 of flower then rots to the ground..i should add im not a backyard grower..im a guerilla so it may work if its in the backyard that i could babysit all day everday but due to dumbass politicans im stuck out in the bush creeping and crawling until that day arrives
