Best set up for 5x5x7 2 600w hps

Whats up everyone I'm obviously new here but I've been lurkin round the boards for a good 3-4 months now reading grow journals and learning shitloads. I've made the decision to have a 5x5x7 room with 2 600w hps bulbs for flowering (veg is another story).

I'm obviously not expecting to hit 1g/w or even .5g/w for that matter but the plan is to grow Big Bud, AK-47, and Northern Lights. From what I hear these are some decent yielding strains. What kind of set-ups would you guys reccomend and how much could I expect to yield with it? Again I know it's my first grow but somewhere down the road I'd like to be pulling in say 2-3lbs every 2 months perpetual harvest style:weed: (not a stretch if I could hit 1g/w). Right now with the medium sized space I'm thinking ScrOG but I'd really like input from some experienced growers!

I'mcoming to the end of my first indoor grow, and bought a ebb& gro bucket hydro system w/ 15 plants.man this is an easy way toget started it'll cost you about 5 bills but its worth it in ease. all you have to do is add water and nutes following the bottle directions. it comes with the whole hydro watering set up. I guessing i'll get 1 1/4 to 2 lbs out of 15 plants and 1000w.oh yeah my room is 5x7x7 so not much bigger good luck

+rep mrduke and i'll definitely google that system> Money's not much of an issue with me I'm more than ready to throw a grand or two into my set up. Getting yields in the 1-2 lb range would be amazing for a first grow, great job man:clap:

yea i agree about cooling the hoods i run a 2 1000 watt setup with aircooled hoods plus an ac in room to help in summertime i also use ebb and flo trays like 4x4 they only cost about 150 dollars each and then with fish tank heater , pump , fittings , reservoir ....rubbermaid tote from wallmart with a wooden brace i made , and pots comes out to like around maybe like 300 per setup ....a 4x4 tray would be nice in an area that size tho ....cause it is actually like 4 and 1/2 feet each way and that would leave a nice little barrier around the tray for more growth

Mad props for the input. Looks like I'll trade Big Bud for Chronic and keep the Northen Lights and AK-47. Again it'll be my first grow so I'm not expecting a huge yield but the more I can learn the better I should be able to grow. Ebb and Flow looks A LOT cheaper than the Ebb and Grow system and a little more functional. Thanks for all the input guys!

Leave the big bud out grow blueberry,the grow room sounds good just keep the lights has near to the plants has possible inces of the tops if the room is set right you should have a nice crop.one thing that i would add is a little cloneing room take the clones just at the end of the first flowering period and by the time the others are done you will be ready to go again.you will have a nice new crop every 8 week or so.

If its your first grow why not just grow with soil and pots with the strains you prefer to learn there traits then move to hydro when you got your fav. phenos picked and ready to be maxed out.

I run soil, all foxfarm with there complete line of nutes.My room is 6x6x7 and i'm runnin 1 600 watter with cooltube for flower and doing a 3 week, 4 plant rotation to stay within my legal limits.With the cooltube I can keep the light 8 inches off the canopy without any problems and the buds are very dank and tight.Getting about 3 to 4 oz's per plant dried.I run 1 fan just for the cooltube ( 6 inch home depot fan) and a 6 inch vortex with carbon filter when they get to smellin.I'm runnin 2 intake vents both 6 inch and 2 reg fans in the bl room.Temps stay at 65 lights off to 75 lights on.R/h stays about 45% to 60 when watered.I run the vortex at night when the depot tube fan is off to keep the r/h from climbing to much.
Next grow I'm doing 2 600's both with cooltubes and done vertical.Should work better for the lower branches and lower buds.Hope this helps ya out and feel free to check out me journal being we have about the same size rooms.
