What's up everybody? I'm new to hydro, never done it, and it's time for me to upgrade my settup. I've run a simple soil op in the past with mediocre sucess, and after reading Al's thread about SoG -- im sold :)

Just wondering what everybody's opinion for the easiest hydro settup for a noob like me would be. I have kinda small budget (prob around 500) but lots of space and a few parts and such laying around.

Also wondering if somebody can point me to some DIY settup guides or something. I am thinking about the flood system Al B fuct uses but idk where to find info on it.

I went with the Baby Bloomer Ebb' and Flow system. I had about the same budget you did for my equipment a few weeks ago. I ended up with the complete system/pots/pumps/growing medium etc. 400 watt valuline switchable ballast with MH and HPS bulbs. Technaflora nutrient starter kit. ph tester is included. I orderd the PPM tester as well. came out to around $399

Discount Hydroponics start there?

Thanks but I'd much rather build my own. It's so much more enjoyable, and will teach me more. I already have a 500 watt hps light and some other things also that I want to put to use.

Anybody know where i can find a DIY guide or more info on the flood hydro settup?

Did some more sniffing around. Learning what an eb and flow system really is. Wow see what happens when you actually take the time to figure things out on ur own haha

Thanks Clamil for the site and info.
