Best suggestions for adding CO2 to grow

Hello all, I live on the east coast where the heat gets really humid and surprisingly the basement where I have my set up is the hottest place in the house. I don’t think I have many options for cooling down the environment without things getting expensive but I was reading how adding CO2 to grow spaces with higher temperatures (my temps are in the mid to high 80s and they’re in flower) helps the plants grow and breathe better since they take in CO2. I don’t want to use a tank but I’ve seen CO2 bags that are supposed to raise the ppm. Any suggestions on the best products? Everything I’ve seen has less than 4 stars for the value of the product. Thanks for y’all’s help.

The only one I have seen in use is the exhale brand. My friend uses them but I have a tank. He seemed happy with it....
Don't forget that with co2 you're not venting so you'll need a good A/C if you don't have one already to deal with heat.

Thank you for that. It’s really hot where I have my girls growing so that’s why I wanted to use CO2 (the high temps) because I don’t know if I can actually install an ac unit. I don’t have a window in that room but I was thinking about putting a unit in the wall to another room. Have you ever seen or tried that?

do a CO2 tank if your serious, it'll be cheaper in the long run for sure. I don't have a window in my room so I run a portable in my storage/veg room (I veg in tents tho) and have a custom made (cardboard, duct tape, squirrel fan) to direct the cool air in, vent the hot air out a window. probably 6 feet window to ac, than 3 feet from ac to squirrel fan in.

My A/C is in a walkway into another room in my basement, just like you're thinking of doing. No way to put it in the window of my basement so I put it in the doorway to the next room. Here's the link to my A/C https://www.rollitup.org/t/danby-15000-btu-air-conditioner.1043861/.
It's a great unit so far; love the digital control; just set the temp and forget it. The things freaky. It drips no water; absolutely none. Some kind of cooling circuit gets it.
No portable A/C either; they vent to the outside and your co2 will leave.

I appreciate all of the advice. I skipped the co2 for now and just adjusted some variables in the space. Got an ac unit and it dropped the temps by more than 10 degrees. They’ll be ready in about 2 weeks, here’s what they’re lookin like. Purple one is Bubba Kush from Barney’s Farm and the other is Glookies, from Barney’s too.

Good decision. You really need to setup your grow area to use Co2. It needs to be a sealed room so you're not exhausting the Co2 out. And those bags regardless of brand are a complete waste of money. Don't waste your cash on them ever. Save it for more light or a couple steaks and a bottle of wine.

I recommend a quality California Cabernet to compliment a good steak. Louis Martini, Robert Mondavi are great and won't break the bank. Although they are making some really good Cabs in Washington state. Chateau Ste. Michelle comes to mind. There are also a few good ones from Oregon but Oregon is more focused on Pinot Noir which is a little too sweet for my tastes. A Merlot could work or there are some blends that are very good and economical as well. A Porterhouse is my preferred steak followed by a New York. Just a very liberal dose of sea salt prior to putting on the grill is all that's needed. Don't clutter the flavor with Montreal Steak seasoning or any of that nonsense. Some grilled onions and a vegetable along with some form of potato and your in business.

Good luck with your grow.

Look at you @xtsho with more great low buck advice.
I didn’t know you were a foodie though. I don’t drink myself (anymore) but I am kinda hungry. Gee a steak would be nice now wouldn’t it.
What about port? I used to like a nice garbly port drunk once in a while. Lots of people look down on port drinkers though; at least where I live.

I'm a big time foodie. There's a thread over in the gardening section where some of us post meals we make with mostly things we grow in out vegetable gardens. There's also some threads on smoking meat I've posted brisket, ribs, bacon, etc... Then there are the sourdough bread posts. Which reminds me I need to pull some starter out of the refrigerator and get some dough going.

I'll drink Port if offered but I won't buy it. I'm a scotch drinker and I don't skimp on that so the lowest budget bottle I could recommend is going to be over $50 and that's just for a 12 year old bottle of Balvanie. I don't drink blends.
