best supplemental lighting for the under-canopy..?

I am going to set up on all 4 sides of my 4' x 4' x 5.5' tall grow box with some supplemental lighting for when the canopy blocks most of the light from reaching under the canopy.

I was hopeing for some people experienced in the under canopy and supplemental lighting. I am a perfectionist but I will try anything once. I see that 4 foot shop lights would be perfect but I'm wondering what type of lighting I should use. Should I use the shop lights with the correct spectrum. What type besides hps for flower. I'm not too big of a fan of the L.E.D. lighting by the way. God Bless, Peace.

Single bulb 4' VHO T5 fixtures, doesn't get any better than that for your situation...

You could look into T5 florescents with 3000K bulbs.
