Best T5HO Lighting Option (for Vegging)

So the new room I'm designing has a side closet which I'll be using for clones and a mother. I like the idea for T5HO's and found Quantum Bad Boy's, 6 bulb fixture on eBay is about 230 + another 70 for bulbs (quantum branded ones). This totals out a little over 310 after shipping and such.

My question is, are there any other T5HO fixtures that are comparable with the quantum fixture I've been waiting to pull the trigger on?

Thanks! :peace:

All T-5s put out the lumen's with respect to length. Go with hydro farm or something much cheaper and get a 4 foot 8 bulb, trust me. You can get it much cheaper than those your looking at, also try e bay, the sellers (stores) will give free shipping and bulbs included. They also have the VOT5s they are pricey though. Look into my albums and see what T5s have done for me. LOVE THEM.

iam using a hydrofarm 4ft 6 bulb and am quite happy with the results, especially since iam going all the way through flower with only the blue spectrum bulbs due to financial complications.

I just sat some auto's (flowered out) under my HOT5s (blue) and in less than 24hrs there was a major increase in trichs.

that doesnt surprise me at all, iam excited to see how my Black Jack's (Indica) do compared to the bagseed (Sativa) that iam doing now. these so far are very slow growers, coming up on start of week 9 and a solid 2 weeks left iam betting.

i purchased the following...
UVL Red sun 630nm
UVL 454nm
UVL Super Actinic peaks at 420nm
ATI Pro Color 660nm
KorallenZucht peaks at 630 and 440nm

i got all my bulbs from various aquarium supply stores. These bulbs are designed to supply hardbody and softbody corals with sunlight in the correct spectrum AND penetrate water up to 5' deep...these bulbs have been on the market for longer than any "grow" bulbs and have more worldwide research put into them. if you have any doubts read about PUR and PAR values and how these lights can provide 90-100% of the light plants need..without wasting light on the "yellow" spectrums. corals like plants use sunlight

I just harvested and already planning next years garden. I am looking to get a head start by vegging a variety (yet to be determined of mothers under T5HO over the winter and taking clones to be planted outdoors in the back yard come spring. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as size of fixture/reflector and spectrum of bulbs. Thanks!
