best technique for using non-fem seeds?

So I have ten regular seeds, what is the best way to go about growing them? I have room for three plants, all females of course.

I'm thinking, I plant five of the seeds, 12/12, wait for sex to show, the re-veg, then flower after the plants have reached a decent bulk. is this advisable? what should I do? Normally I get feminized seeds, but this year is kind of lean, and so I went cheap on regular seeds. Seedsman NL, if you are wondering. pretty excited, I want to have all my ducks in a row before I begin, I was thinking 1-1.5 gallon pots during the 12/12, then transplant up to 3-5 gallon pots for final grow phase. holler at me.

well, i was going to say "breeding" based solely on this thread's title. so far, i've just flipped everything and culled all of the males except my breeders, but have similar concerns as you about the whole sexing thing and was going to create a thread somewhere asking when is the earliest time to sex plants before re-vedging as this year i'm going to SCROG and have to sex my plants before letting them fill my screens. i'm bummed about the time that will be wasted waiting for sex to show and then re-vedge everything until my screens are full. i guess my fems will get the head start as they'll be ready to go into the screens right away.

oh to live in a world where it's all legal and you can just have 3-4 rooms for sexing, breeding, cloning and vedging. even having a single vedge & flower room is difficult in apartments

time, and also stress, I'm worried the process might stress the plants out. plant health and yield might suffer? possible hermi?

Make a bucket aero cloner, under $20, take a clone from each plant and put under 12/12 light!!!!

Personally I don't see the point in re-vegging. Be patient and grow them out until they show their sex. Let any males mature separately to a point where you can collect pollen and then throw them out. Then you can control getting a few seeds off your grow. If you're not training in SCROG like hazey or doing anything special, I wouldn't worry. When I first started out I was worried about males too... now I've learned how beneficial they can be :weed:

I leik dis idea... god help me tho I can't ever keep things straight. I can already see myself mixing it up.lol.
The easiest way is just grow them like they are all females. Transplant when you need to, switch to 12/12 when you are ready. Cull the males when they show. Yes, you are going to waste soil and time and nutrients on the males but it is what it is. Best thing (IMO) for small grows is feminized seeds. Ignore the myths about them, order from good/reliable breeders and you will get what you pay for.

Take a clone and throw it in the flower chamber. No undue stress on your mom and you can find out sex.

Other than taking the clone from the mother itself of course.

yeah, SCROGging AND sexing don't go together well at all, but i'm doing a multi-strain grow with stretchy malawi gold, sweet haze & haze x skunk, with some indoor hybrids so SCROGging is pretty much essential for me, and i need to know sexes to fill my screens up properly.

as to breeding, i've decided i'm going to wrap my males up with taped paper to catch pollen and prevent spreading for controlled pollination using 2-3 different males.
