Pistils mean nothing for ripeness. I have some strains that have red hairs at three weeks but aren't ripe until week 9. Plus I just never understood why you would want to starve a plant at the same point when it puts on the most weight.
A good rinse with some plain water now and then does help with the taste of your buds though. No scientific facts to back that up but a good spraying to remove dust and other nastiness sounds like a good idea to me.
When you want your plants to decline and lose vigor then commence your flush. It's really beneficial the last couple weeks of bud growth, not near as much bud to trim.

Really? Supposed to? Try using a good quality nute and you will savour the taste, not flinch from it. I didn't say a thing about CBd, did I? I said ripeness is not determined from the pistils. I know these plants and I know where what comes from and when.
