if it warms up above that then throw a ice pack in the water to cool it off....or a frozen pot bottle of water

The best temp is between 72-78 degree F. I keep mine at 72 so there is less evaporation.

Jorge Cervantes states in His book that the optimum temp is between 60-65 degrees and that more than 68 degrees will lessen the amount of nutes a plant can absorb. Haybe he's wrong?

Yeah he is wrong. Well at least for cannabis. Maybe is truth for other plants tough...

As for cannabis, if you do little bit of research around forums you can see most peoples tells 78 is the optimal. I do NOT consider you to keep your water under 70, by experience i learned that my plants growth slower under 70 degree C. 78 might be the optimal but it cost a lots more of nutes that way because of the water evaporation... so i put mine at 72-74 to avoid more expenses...

Anyway i hope you find the best temp for your needs.

Xan2, no disrespect bro, but your defenitely wrong.

anywhere in the 60's is good, 66-68 prolly being optimum. Anything above 70 and your gonna invite pathogens, and you dont want that.

but now EYE have a question... Lets say your water reaches a high temp (say like 77F) and you fix it and get it back down to 65-66. Is the bacteria gonna go away? or does it stay there once you crossed that line or until you change your res?
