Hello,

I am allowed by Michigan State Law to have up to 12 plants for Medical Marijuana use.

I was curious, what's the best way to get the maximum yield out of those 12 plants?

Any plants hanging and drying do not count towards my 12 plants max.

Thanks in advance! :joint:

This is a tougth one because are you allowed to keep mother plants or do they count has part of the percription. If youare growing medicaly and legal then you realy need to grow big. This method brings with it alot of problems because you are gonna need a nice sized room with a good few 1000 hps lights in so the plants can use the light needed to produce monster nugs.I would have 4 1000 hps a good ac unit plenty of air flow and alot of good air vents in and out.It would be easy for me to say add a few more check out how often there gonna visit and flower a few extra realy small. But to be honest dude if i could grow legal i would not risk it.Just get has much lighting has you can afford but sort out all the heat issues first good ac unit exaust fan and you should grow enougth to last you a max of 13 week 3 week veg 8 week flowering.

Ha Ha,
frankly, it matters not to me if you choose to do an illegal grow and lose your privileges or not. But just so you know you are limited to 2.5 ounces of stash.
So if you get caught, you can't have a lb drying and 12 plants growing.

Sucks I know, but it is all we have for now.
I just pointed this out so ya don't walk in to a bee's nest.

Are you sure about that? On the Michigan Medical Marijuana Association forums I asked if the plants I had drying counted towards my 12 max plants or 2.5 ounces of usable product and the consensus was no.

Not saying you're wrong because this is all new to me, but I think it's important I am clear about the law.

Well let's say you have a pound drying. At what point "does" it become part of the 2.5 ounces you are allowed to have? And if you are growing 12 more that can produce a pound each, are you really immune from crossing the line to a commercial operation? I'd consult a knowledgeable attorney.

Here is what I have found,

. Protections for the Medical Use of Marihuana.

Sec. 4. (a) A qualifying patient who has been issued and possesses a registry identification card shall not be subject to arrest, prosecution, or penalty in any manner, or denied any right or privilege, including but not limited to civil penalty or disciplinary action by a business or occupational or professional licensing board or bureau, for the medical use of marihuana in accordance with this act, provided that the qualifying patient possesses an amount of marihuana that does not exceed 2.5 ounces of usable marihuana, and, if the qualifying patient has not specified that a primary caregiver will be allowed under state law to cultivate marihuana for the qualifying patient, 12 marihuana plants kept in an enclosed, locked facility. Any incidental amount of seeds, stalks, and unusable roots shall also be allowed under state law and shall not be included in this amount.

According to my Doctor, I can have up to 5 ounces and no plants or 2.5 ounces and 12 plants. I guess we will have a lot of hash and oil.lol
In respect to an attorney, I think every lawsuit from now on will be a land mark decision. I am an advocate for legalization, I just don't know if I can afford being the guinea pig.

In most instances, according to my attorney we will get off without incarceration, however our time and attorney fees will not be reimbursed.

I've given this a lot of thought, and I have decided that I want to try to maximize my yield using 12 plants. From what I have been advised that plants without root systems (aka harvested and curing) are not counted towards my 12 allowed plants. However the mother and any clones with roots would be counted towards my 12 plants.

Overages are not a concern as I plan on making hash / hash oils / baked goods out of any and all overages as well as all the clippings, stems, leaves, etc. My main objective is to maximize my yield with those 12 plants. However not having experience with doing a perpetual grow and I am not really sure where to start.

So does anyone have any advice on how to get the max yield out of a perpetual grow with 12 plants max?
