Best way to grow a plant short but fat?

Hey guys, I really dont have a lot height room for my plants, so I was wondering about the best way to keep the plantsfrom growing up, and focus them more on growing out and bigger buds? I am using Cfl lights, and some bagseed.

You got to get a formula that focuses on making bigger buds.

first choose the right strain. Indica or an auto flowering dwarf plant like lowryder 2 would be best.

then make sure you veg it under an MH bulb to keep the plant bushy and with short internodal lengths.

may have to consider topping the plant - so find a suitable strain. Not all strains react well to being topped and produce less bud (e.g Chronic) whereas some do not produce max yields until topped (e.g. blueberry).

keep the humidity and temps low/normal - as high levels of either cause stretching.

make sure they get enough light so do not have to stretch to reach it.

like dave said. l.riders only take 45 days from seed, under the correct lights.not flos.

yes topping is also a good idea.
if you start to top a seedling at 2 week and top every week, for 4 weeks
you can end up with a 7" 8 or even 16 headed plant.
but depends how many times you top. 2 times 4 heads . 4 times 16.
