Beware of Brink's digital timers

I came home last night to find out my lights hadn't been running for about 6 hours of their cycle. The timer apparently shorted out and kicked my surge protector off. As i was investigating the problem i made the mistake of touching my ballast while still plugged into the timer and got the living shit shocked out of me. ( I had the timer plugged directly into the wall at this point). At first this timer seemed awesome for the price of 10$. Just set the times and be done with it, but when something like this happens it doesn't only effect my girls, but is really dangerous in the right situation. Buyers beware!!!

u cant pull too much power out of one. they are rated and if you read the box im willing to bet that's how u fried it because you said ten dollars meaning it was probably their weakest timer.... ive used the cheap ass brinks ones and never had a problem.
