I trim all bad leaves off, but I also trim good ones off too to get light throughout my plant during flower. I have bad habits (or so people claim), but the plants seem to keep growing like nothing happened contrary to popular belief.

Oh sorry didn't realize that just jumped in the conversation, yea I do it in veg all the time. Some fan leaves get SO big compared to rest of plant, clip they gone from my plants, and never an issue. People need to stop babying the plants, they will take A LOT of abuse, the only way anyone can kill them is by their food source ie hydro, soil etc.. I believe clipping, cutting, trimming etc never hurt the plants as they just repair so rapidly if they are healthy.

Yea that's fine. I start taking all the lower crap off in veg anyway sooner or later. Plants don't mind you messing with them just make sure they are healthy as they can cope with stress as long as they are not compromised health wise. Take it easy on them for few days, they need to recover. Moving them or transplanting daily, or even cutting off leaves like I do I try not to do all at once or consecutive days.

5.6.12.9.jpgThis is what that big one looks like after i trimmed it let me know what you think i figured if I mess up I will start over i have more because if i lose the other 2 i dont think all this is worth the trouble for 1 keeper but let me know if it is too much taken off or what.

It will be fine, yes it will delay veg a few days blah blah. I have had some that looked WAY worse and retarded then that, and became phenomenal plants. Do you have a nice breeze on them? They should be getting hit with some air movement to start getting some muscles and air flow around the leaves to breathe.

1336315973401.jpg1336315997482.jpgHere is a picture of my whole set up. That 12" oscilating fan runs 24/7 and the humidifier most of the day to keep it between 45-55%. How long have you seen the veg get stunted. Long enough to get some new ones started to replace the 2 in the tan tote if need be.

BOTH OF THE ONES I TOUGHT WERE DEAD CAME ALIVE. How long should i wait before i cut the dead leaves off of them because i was going to give them 2 days of looking healthy to cut them, or is this too soon? i know these leaves are dead, all crunchy and brown.

If they are burned bad or dead looking they will never come back cut them. If they are discolored, light colored, droopy or twisted they can come back, but once the plant tissue is burned or dead you might as well cut it off.

Ok I just wasnt sure if I would shock or stress out the plant any more by making more cuttings when it just started to come back. I was really suprised this one was almost laying completely over on the tub.

hows everything looking??
Its coming along I went and got some new nutrients couple days ago and just switched them I will take pics in the morning show you the progress. Today was the first day of 12/12, but here is a list and how much of everything I used. They are in 5 gals still so about 2.5-3 gals of water.
Aquashield = 30ml
Berry Sweet = 50ml
CalMag = 15ml
Then I switched from the general hydroponics flora series to Dutch Master Gold Range One = 80ml
So I hope this all works out cant wait for the light to come on and make sure they are still alive.
