BHOstard in Colorado?

So, I'm listing to the radio on my way to work, and caught a portion of a story stating that there was an” explosion” involving cannabis, butane and pvc pipe.

I kind of caught it right of the middle of the story, and I have searched all local news websites but I'm trying to find out more about this.. Like if it happened in The Springs or a more precise location..

This is very disturbing

Each time an occurrence of this nature happens, the medicinal cannabis community takes a huge step back.

If you are going to attempt to extract with butane, simply GO OUTSIDE

If you refuse to go outside, I ask, and beg and plead with you...do not use butane as your solvent.

Is a batch of oil really worth, 3rd degree burns, fingers blown off, skin literally melting off???
Your life? Your freedom? The lives and safety of those innocent to your negligence?? Injuring those in your proximity.??

Go outdoors, ensure you have the bare essentials..no cigarettes, no lighter, no cell phone, shit I've always taken off my socks even.

Very bad idea, the butane leaches chemicals from the pvc and then you end up smoking it, don't see that being very good for your lungs.

Yeas... PVC is a no-no.


Funny, that I was going through some very dated you-tube videos, and came across one where they use a 2 liter plastic coke bottle..poked a hole in the bottom of the bottle, poked some holes in the cap and twist on with cheese-cloth affixed as a filter.

Looked like it was filmed in the 80' s.

Really crazy how much things have progressed, yet we still have self-made idiots blowing themselves up.

This truly saddens me, as a properly made oil is such an effective means of treating my symptoms. Particularly when I've made the oil. I take every precaution with diligence.

Start from the beginning by testing your solvent (see plate test in my 710 thread) OUTSIDE
All the way to the end by effectively removing the solvent from the extract. There are a couple members here that can vouch on the ” smooth flavor” with zero pinch from tane, very little cough, so one can take a rather large dab, and be capable of holding in the vapor for maximum efficacy.

With my garden coming soon, I'm still making oil for sure.

However, as I've mentioned I'm quite intrigued by hashish and some crazy full melts.

Lol... Anyone remember 10+ years ago when people made honey oil using the cardboard tube kits? It was obvious back then how dangerous it was, even just to smoke the shit. I remember people would spread it on blunt papers and I'd refuse to smoke it. hehe.
