Religion does not have an answer. It imposes sectarian dogma and gets offended by the reasonable request for an objective basis for the policies that devolve from it.

OK, let's disregard personhood then, as clearly it's an obtuse principle at best. I'm curious at what point in the process of gestation do you no longer support abortion?

I thought of that, and no.
The protoheart starts beating very early in development. Barring miscarriage, it is still in the “gonna be someone some day” category,and too close to the peremptory “it begins at conception” uh, concept.

The gestational clock starts at the first day of the last period. Implantation occurs in week four. A heartbeat can be detected as early as week five. So imo using that as the criterion is driven by exterior doctrinal considerations, typically based in religion.
