Time for a new grow in a new setup. Excited about this one... Not grown it before but I have smoked it and it was something to remember.. Lets hope this turns out somewhere near as good!

Setup will be the same as my Skywalker Kush grow with some equipment upgrades. You can check that thread here to get the idea: https://www.rollitup.org/t/skywalker-kush-by-reserva-privada.880746/ - and here is a shot of her:

sky.jpg

Anyway the Cheesus I kicked off around 13 days ago germinating in a rockwool cube. Once rooted I put in the water farm and she is just starting to grow now:

GHE lucas nutrients, on around 110ppm, ph 5.5.

Cheers mate, growth in 1 day has been pretty substantial lol I haven't looked in the res but Id take a guess she has rooted her way into the lower res very quickly. Should be a fun grow this one. Il try to keep updated often ;)

Man you got some exotic strains, making me really want to smoke bud again...Iv been on hash (very nice morrocan) for a couple of months now... I will probably be put in a coma when this is done lol - Im gonna lookup headband.. I think iv heard of it off a major elite grower friend I know.. Is it by Cali Connection (or the guys who do girl scout cookies)?. I went for a cfl for veg in the end over t5, just cos at max I will have 2 plants at any time and just one to start with.. I got this 120w one, its nice as Iv got it like cm's from the plant with no raise to temperature with the level of extraction in there, ultimate lumen action lol At this rate though Il be switching to 400w hps by the weekend

I quit doing seeds as I'm right on top of these clone sources www.darkheartnursery.com which is where the headband came from as well as the stardawg all the info is in that link also www. midnight farms.com & www.medicinalorganic.com I'm in California these clones range in price from $12.00-$16.00 each got this free when I picked up the clonesimage.jpeg

Wow California is fucking awesome. Spain was kinda heading this way before I left, still not like that they just dropped prosecution on growing which opened up a can of worms with growshops selling cuttings etc but I believe they are online now even if its through the deepweb or half dodgy order forms. I have grown in the UK prior all my life, so for me seeing compassion medical brownies given as a free gift with your cuttings is somewhat difficult to wrap my head around- I would probably go into shock the selection on THC goods on display in a dispensary. If you hear of any jobs going with a visa hit me up LOL

Ah a friend of mine grew sensi star religiously - good shit! I really need to try and find a good selection of modern strains. I was looking at the bruce banner #3 a while back. Most of my grows were small setups with my old man back in the day.. Strains like Jack Herer, Warlock, Church, Widow, Northern, Rosenthal, Cheese etc. Theres such a huge selection these days I get confused going on a seed website - buying cuttings isn't an option for me right now with laws and to be fair I am so fussy with the quality of plant, I always go from seed unless its my own cutting.. These guys are pros though so a bit subjective as I would buy from them if I could probably haha.

I tried to pick a strain with a balance of quality & yield both that's the problem I have with the stuff I'm growing now it's just not gonna yield

Small update. couple more days gone by and she is taking nutes quite happily, ph relatively stable considering barely any buffers in yet (up to 220ppm). Will switch to 18:6 tomorrow and probably 400w HPS on the weekend/early next week. Pow

Yer I guess. Iv never been far out of what they say tbh so my choice there goes off that mostly lol Trial and error sometimes though, especially with these flash, sensitive cross breeds.. That skywalker was a bitch for instance lol

I will say though Cheesus is probably in the top 3 strongest and tastiest things Iv smoked ever.. Cheese, Cheesus and LSD (was never sure if it was barneys farm. I seem to have bad luck with life every time I try to grow the thing lol) all from UK same grower, hydroponic. Few mates will say the same.

Yer looks very similar. Will just sit around for a while and then BOOM. This cheesus seems to be opposite. Rapid root, indica characteristics shining through... hopefully she is childs play compared to say Headband or Skywalker Kush

all of the og kush type plants I've grown share these habits that's why when you were doing the skywalker in the waterfarm I could tell you the nature of the strain but knew nothing of the waterfarm fortunately you were skilled enough to apply it to the waterfarm & pull it off skywalker as I've said & I use the term because I can't think of any other way to put it is most challenging & most rewarding all in one I expect no less from the headband by next week I expect to have it in the waterfarm

I use paper towel method... I put the seed in rock wool PH'd to 5.5 by leaving in phd water for 12-24 hours the moment the root shows.. DO NOT SQUEEZE THE CUBE! the cubes are great because of there interior the moment you squeeze the cube you fuck them and its hit or miss if it takes root....Gravitate the excess water out and then stick it under a light in an incubator and you should not need to touch it for at least 5 days and you will have a nice seedling to work with whats not been over watered etc

Well I had some slight deficiency today!! She is a hungry plant and doubled in size today. I will sort the deficiency out and take photos again on the weekend.. Basically upped the flora grow to around 5ml. micro on 3ml, bloom on 3ml - PPM is about 390 PH really really stable at 5.4-5.8... She shot straight up to 6.8-7 on skywalker until around 600ppm if i remember right.. Iv got CalMag in the cupboard this time, so will see how she takes the solution and maybe flush out with some CalMag if it gets worse.. Its pretty high in nitrogen this particular CalMag though so I might just add a small amount to next feed anyway for a boost. Play it by ear. I don't have Osmosis but my PPM is 62 out the tap (lucky!!!)

She drunk like 1/5 of the res which is pretty impressive for a youngsta

I use my tap water as well my ppm is about same as yours & I use about 1/2 of recommended dose of cal- mag & pull it out towards the end I made a separate reservoirs out of part of the 8 site waterfarm it holds 4 gal. & has the aquarium type air pump driven pump similar to the setup that runs the drip ring to circulate nutrients

Yer I don't usually like to use cal-mag just like to have it for emergencies as most of the time can get away with mineral water. Didn't expect her to take off so quickly or I would have probably been a bit more aggressive with the nutrients - she can take it! I guess this is the fun of growing strains blind haha Your setup sounds interesting so is that for auto topping up the res or??

I have a friend that bought the complete 8 site waterfarm system he made his own reservoir setup I had the problem of my plant drinking up 1-1/2 gal a day in hot weather he gave me the complete waterfarm reservoir which has the bottom chamber which had the float valve as well as the air driven transfer pump I removed the float valve as I didn't trust it & did away with the top chamber altogether now I can leave for a couple of days & not fear my plant going dry total nutrient capacity is 6 gal. now I can feed & even if I top off during the week my ph stays no higher than 6.3 if I feed at 5.7'ish image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Nice mate, creative solution to the problem haha I kinda like to be in full hands on control always though had a huge aeroponics mist spray failure years back going off top up reservoirs.. have you looked at the aqua farm? Think they have a much bigger res on them but you will need a monster air pump on it to get the desired oxygenated water levels. I use the air pump what comes with the water farm as a nutrient mixer in a bucket lol I got a bad boy double outlet one blasting my water farm with air stone in bottom (its a flat one i fixed on the side of the water farm to stop roots wrapping around it).

Well the nutrients seems to go down pretty well actually. Had a 30ppm increase over night, ph stable and leaves pointing upwards a lot. Im now flushing her with half low ppm water and half mineral water to just keep the cal/mg levels floating around. I will feed tomorrow starting my solution with the CalMag up to about 130ppm then flora the rest cos I was also seeing a bit of paleness around the outer edges of the leaves - plenty of light so to me thats nitrogen cravings. Or maybe just keep her on the flora because its pretty much cleared up and has a lot more colour in her compared to yesterday morning say. Small speckle of brown on one lower leaf now.... Fun stuff anyway, love this shit and missed it lol

this setup is working out good & is really only needed about the time she starts to stretch the float controlled auto top off looks like a disaster waiting to happen & I threw together because I was going on a 3 day camping trip it worked so good I just kept it I have it set up to unplug & just use the waterfarm by itself & add it back on when she gets hungry I really like building stuff I've got 2 homemade farms growing tomatoes on my waste nutes hardest part was building the drip feed to feed off the aquarium air pump but they work
