Big Cola White Webs Inside

Was spreading open a large White Widow cola and checkin inside when I found i was webby. Like Cotton or webs, and the veg material turned brown and shriveled. I checked it with a 60-100x microscope and it all looks tendrily like the rest of the plant. Fibrous. No sign of eggs, critters, anything insect. Brown veg at cola center and white sugary webs. Anyone familiar?

Could it be MOLD?

Um actually smoking any form of mold can be bad for you! Very bad for the lungs, all good growers recomend throwing away or destroying moldy buds and never to smoke them. I hope you were joking here! Peace

Bud rot. I grew in a basement that had a dryer in it, which caused high humidity and all my biggest buds had the rot. I cut open the buds and there was water dripping out from the middle. I was like what the hell! Definitely wouldn't smoke that

It's your choice if you want to smoke it , but please don't pass it along to others. BOTRYTIS is poisonous , dangerous and can cause serious lung problems. Smoking it just adds to the perception that stoners are all dumb-asses! Eventually you will end up at the doctors,and trust me they won't be very sympathetic when you tell them you smoked moldy weed after being warned that it was dangerous. Please do some research for yourself before making a decision...J.L..

That really sucks bro. Im sorry your harvest has mold. Well be looking into this more. Just think your lost will help other not to do this. + rep

Dont worry about it, all is not wasted, you can still enjoy it by making BHO or making bubble hash, that is if you didnt toss it already? My buddies last harvest got moldy while he was curing, which really suck because he fucked up by putting them in jars too damn soon

OK yes it does look like botrytis of whathaveyou - flufy white cotton similar to that which you get when starting seedlings sometimes - and it seems luckily we caught it all early, as it can overtake a cola and turn it to mush quick from what Ive read. So. Snipped her, top 33% afected on the inner core. Removing buds and trimming brown. Quick drying the green in the oven at 140 for 30 mins. Will deal with any remaining mold, wont hurt the thc content, and should secure that I retain most of this queen cola. None of the others were affected.

Going to make sure circulation is better next round, and use the a/c as a dehumidifyer next time it gets humid for long periods of time

i just want to be clear here.....dont smoke mold, lol...unless you wanna cough your ass over every single hit you take for months and months, on a good case senario, ahha

damn thats hardcore 8(dehumidifier man it causes the room temp to increase but its the only way to avoid mold and budrot 35% humidity is what i do and 30 % at lights out just to be safe plus good for resin my dehumidifier runs 825 watts though depending on the size of your grow that may not be practical but never smoke that stuff i'm a medical grower so that isnt even an option for me good luck
