Sorry guys.

I have about 70 hours per week of responsibilities now.

My updates are going to be sparsely found from here on out.

That said, I will have pics by the time this next Sunday comes to a close.

Thanks guys!

As for an update (minus pics for now)

The plants are continuing to bulk up and produce copious amounts of trichomes. Some of the lower buds have started to turn slightly amber now, and even some in full direct light are starting to show some color here and there as well. Today makes day 35 of 12/12

I will be switching to Cha Ching from here on out and hope these babies go another 35 days before they are done. I am starting to worry that they aren't going to bulk up as much as I want...

Do you other soil guys get a lot of bulking up after your pistils start to mature? Anyone think I have cause for concern?

I am hoping these things will bulk up 2x to 3x the bud size as they are now...

As for the seedlings, everything is going well overall.

I have 3x Violator Kush that are doing well, along with 2x BB and the Powerkush.

The other BB managed to somehow end up sprouted, laying on top of the dirt this morning, seemingly dead. Very strange. I have never had this happen...If she doesn't make it, there went a $20 seed to waste...

As for the Moby Dick, it poked its head above dirt still in the seed, but then I checked it a little later and it had yellowed slightly where the stem met the dirt. The soil was plenty moist still, but I watered it a bit more anyway. We will see if she lives...

To be honest, as long as ONE BB and ONE VK manages to survive to maturity and becomes a mother, I will be happy. I really want to grow these strains.

As it stands now under the 1k light and the big 6 gallon girls, if I chopped today I would probably only have an ounce per plant dried. So I hope they each pack on another 2.5-3 z's in the last 35 days or so, otherwise I am going to be very disappointed...

So if I am too busy to post pics I get dogged and no responses???

Nah, I'm still following. I'm getting really antsy though as my own harvest date is looming but rest assured I will keep following your grow no matter what, my friend! :hump:
Dill when did your plants REALLY start to bulk up?

I am on day 37 ish and worried they aren't going to go through a major growth spurt still.

Some of budsites are maturing quite rapidly...You think they will still double their size in the last 30 days? Have yours?

yeppers.... patience..... let them do their thing..... follow your schedule...... weeks 4-7 are fattening weeks (indica ;) ) 5-9 or 4-10 for sativas....... and hybrids, of course, fall in between, :)

Remember.. they will put on up to 25% of their final wight in the last 2 weeks...

That is why I cringe when people tell me they stress and starve the plants EXACTLY when everything needs to be perfect for MAX weight...

Thanks guys.

I am in no hurry.

I just hope these aren't done too soon. They are awfully mature looking for 38 days or so in soil. I mean a few of the nugs have up to 80% orange pistils already.

The trichs are very clear though. Maybe 95% clear. I saw one amber trich, and a handful of cloudy ones. So that's good.

I really want them to go 10 weeks and bulk up!

Pistils are just ONE thing... and I bet you will still see PLENTY of new white pistils come up before she's done...

Maybe I am just bein paranoid...

I thought they would all be 25% bigger by now and not looking quite as mature...

But you're probably right, of course.

My colas seemed to double in size between weeks 5-7 and since then have packed on quite a bit of weight. Two weeks ago I only had to stake down one plant due to weight but now 17 out of the 20 have at least one stake to keep them held up due to the heavy weight and several require TWO stakes! Day 63 of the 12/12 cycle is tomorrow, so your plants still have plenty of time to fatten up for you. I don't think mine are really growing any more at this point as about 75% of all fan leaves are yellow now but they are definitely getting more resin development which isn't a bad thing by any means! I'll be posting some new pics in my journal tomorrow so you'll be able to see what I mean. :)

Thanks Dill for the support. I really appreciate it, especially given our grows are fairly similar in certain regards!

Thanks Jon. Yeah I know I am takin forever...if its any consolation my days are 12 hours long at least currently....plus watering and such, so more like 13 per day at least on average.

I know, wah me...

He also stated hes got alot going on right now...give him a break, he'll update us ;)

Thanks for your patience Sticky.

Its really hard for me to take pics under the HPS. They are basically worthless.

And I haven't had time to pull them out. I plan on doing a flush on each plant (just to cleanse the medium a bit, not a final flush) as they dry out here over the next 3-7 days and I will take pics then. Sorry guys.

DAY 43, 12/12

Ok, so you are only getting 3/5th of a real update. That is, I am showcasing Hashberry along with Skunks #1 & 2. I have REALLY wanted to update you guys but have had no time. Plus, until I need to pull them out, I cant really get proper pics. So, for now, the 3/5ths Compromise is in affect.

These pics were taken three days ago on day 40 of 12/12 after I pulled them out to give them a 2 gallon flush each with some Clearex, to hopefully improve all kinds of things....you guys know why I did it, right? Well anyways, it wasnt a final flush, just to leach the soil and release some salt buildup, I hopes. I have had these plants in these containers/soil since 6/29 with no leach/flush!

You are also getting an update of my topping experiment I alluded to earlier in the thread. I hope you all enjoy and give me some feedback!

__________________________________________________

This is my first experiment with true topping, as opposed to FIMming. I used Uncle Ben's method and topped the plant back down to the 2nd node, after it had gotten 5 nodes and was working on its 6th. This is a Barb seedling that I tried it on, in case I fucked up  Any feedback would be much appreciated, given I have never done this before...

Now, two shots of the results....she has filled out QUITE a bit since this pic was taken, I expect to get at least one z from this one gallon pot.

OK, on to the 6 gallon girls....Here is "Hashberry," (looking an AWFUL lot like the Skunks, no?) at day 40 of 12/12

Now, Skunk #1, also day 40 of 12/12

And finally for today, SK #2, also, day 40 12/12

NOW, anyone have a revised yield? I will allow it, for sure. This once.

BB and SK #3 are LARGER and will yield more than any of these three, if that helps...

Ok, you guys wanted some pics, happy? A little?

Regardless of the yield, I have FINALLY grown some REAL dank! :hump::hump::hump::hump::hump:
