Bigger Pot?(Pic)

Here is a pic of one of my plants at about... 8-9 days. This is my first grow and I'm not sure about when to move it to a bigger pot. I have a bunch of various sized pots. I was going to move it and a few others to a 10" 3 gallon pot tonight, but I was told that they are too young to survive the transplant. Their current 16oz(I think) cups has seed starter mix and the bigger pots have MG (with the nutes flushed).

How long do people usually wait before moving to bigger pots? Are my plants ready?

I have one more concern. Some of my plants that are very dark green have leaves curling downward, almost in a full circle on one. The plant looks pretty healthy, but I noticed a pattern of lesser drainage in the cups that these plants exist in. I was wondering if this is just genetic, or if it has anything to do with my grow area being too hot, not enough air in the soil ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would be okay if you could get the soil to stick together. Most likey when you remove the cup the soil will just fall all over the floor because there aren't many roots holding it in place yet. Then intead of being able to hold on to the soil part while you put it in the other pot you would just be holding just the plant in your hand and it is flimsy and fragile at this point. If you want to remove the soil from the roots from an older plant that is no problem because you can grasp the plant firmly by the stalk with no problem but right now the risk for damage is too much. Just wait a week to ten days.

Why not just wait? WTF There is plenty of rootspace in there for that plant right now. Why have him transplant when there is a higher probablity of things going wrong? I mean there's still 90% it will be fine but why not wait until the plant is sturdier is all I'm saying.

Thanks for the help! I'm definitely going to wait at least another week.

its my first grow to but mine are in the same cups and they are a bit bigger and they are doing great

that is expected for your first grow. being too paranoid will only cause more problems. just sit back and let the plant grow, if the plant LOOKS fine, chances are it is.
