Hi Chew,

I have a small run of five Blackberries from Nirvana (Plus one Warlock and one Chronic) in the grow booth now. The Blackberries are one to three weeks from harvest and I have to say, I'm very impressed with this plant. The phenos vary only slightly with one maturing much earlier with buds currently plastered with Trics. Gorgeous buds that are picture perfect and smell great but not overwhelming.

The plants themselves are extremely stout with massive base stems and strong, tall branches easily holding up the fattest of buds, and each one has a nice fat bud too. They are short plants with four being in the 30" to 35" (76cm to 89cm) range with one pheno showing a height of almost 48" (120cm) but all are very rigid, well branched plant. Give it two to three feet of diameter to grow well.

I grew Nirvana Blackberry now as my grow booth is set up in the back part of my home's basement and it gets rather cold there each winter. This produces cold night temps in the low to mid 50's but as of yet, not a single hue of blue to be seen. Daytime temps run in the 70's but the soil remains cool, hovering in the upper 50's all the time. (By the way, I have one solid soil base 12" deep in a 48" x 96" booth.)

As of this day, these Blackberry plants are at week 8.5 and I could easily harvest one, as noted above, and the others I suspect will be coming out in two to three weeks. I am hopeful they will start coloring up prior to harvest. BUT, I actually don't care as I can tell this is going to be awesome smoke and will follow up once cured. The THC content is going to be massive, although the yields will be average. I am hoping for 1/2 Kilo from the five plants. Add in the small Chronic (50gms) and superb Warlock (150gms) and my 12 weeks will yield 700gms under 1000 watts. I always shoot for .25gms per watt per month an will make it this time too.

Most certainly try growing Blackberry with gusto. You will not be disappointed. A very fun plant to grow.

Magic Matt...signing out.

I have 4 Nirvana Blackberrys finishing up at the moment. It's good tasting smoke with excellent yields I topped the plants at about 12" and they bushed out real good. Each plant had 4 main colas the size of donkey dicks. The 4 plants looked like 16 plants under the lights. I took the main colas and the tops of the other branches a few days ago:

And the rest of the plants are getting another week or so under the light to ripen up the lower parts of the plants that previously got little light because the plants were so bushy. They ended up at around 3½ tall.

The ripening buds are very stinky, so make sure you have good odor control. They don't smell anything like blackberries. They smell like some kind of fermenting exotic fruit I've never smelled before. I've oven dried a few buds for testing. The smoke is thick and makes me cough (I don't have a vaporizer yet) and the high is potent. The fruity smell definitely comes through in the smoke and will only get better after proper drying and curing. The stone is strong and leans a bit towards Indica I would say but more testing needs to be done :bongsmilie:

In summary. Good strain for indoors under a light, very good yield, exotic taste and potent high. I would recommend this to a friend.

This strain was last weekends Nirvana Whopper. They reduced it in price by about $15 for the fem 5 pack.

Matt - my Blackberries got dark period temps in the low 60s for the final weeks and you can see I got some purple on the tops. I've very pleased with my yield I got. I used the Fox Farms feed schedule across the board and a air cooled 600 watter only 12" above the canopy.

purpling should be occuring when temps are kept around the 60s, but then again it might just be very hard to tell with the dark phenotype on the blackberry anyway.
this is a very helpful post, thanks to everyone. i wanna jump on the blackberry trend as well. right now tho im looking into the plush berry from tga, its a space queen cross.

thats because u oven dried them still will have clorophyll from the plant in it that needs to break down thats why all quick dried weed is no where near comparison of the same wen dried proper imho 1.5 week drying at least

hi just an update the harvest in my last post was shit im stuck on about 2 oz per bb plant tops cant seem to get them big harvests with it but the quality of the smoke is the dog balls nice smoke but not for the commercial grower more a personal stash iv done a lot of greenhouse seeds bashing in the past from all the ruined crops and wasted money on dud seeds and hermi seeds and plain male seeds that were sold as feminised but i have notice that their more expensive strains are more stable like super lemon haze got 9 on the go now 9 out of 10 seeds popped and 9out of 9 are female and same last time i did slh both popped and no hermi so maybe i might have to give arjan the queen of cannabis another shot try some other strains but guys heads up stay away from these strains- church , AMS , the doctor had nowt but bad luck with them 3 strains wasted lots of cash but the super lemon haze i did and the exodus cheese were really good all round so they are off my black list happy smokin guys
