Blackforest's RDWC ^2 Grow

Can you increase light intensity? Not that it's been a few days, I'll bet they'd really respond.
It didn't help that my ph pen was off either I discovered. I'm certain I had the ph too low. Pen was reading 7.4 in the calibration solution. I think it was running in the low 5's for longer than I wanted. I was wondering why the new tops were as yellow as they were because there was plenty of N in the system. I had them in plain ph'd water for the last 24 hrs and did a ph reading and it was around 6.3 (after I calibrated my pen). They are drinking again and quite a bit of the yellowing is already greening up. Hard lesson learned.

I'm pretty certain it was a ph issue. I have a liquid drop ph tester too, and I didn't want to believe my lying eyes on the ph it was indicating. Ph is back to 5.8 and they drank 4 gal last night, yellowing tops are now green (finally taking up enough N). That one was tricky to figure out. Lesson here is to calibrate your ph pen when something is just not right.

The lesson should be to calibrate your pH meter regularly, so it doesn't cause you these problems to begin with. I do mine at the beginning of every month.

So true. I ran out of calibration solution and kept forgetting to pick some up at the store.
It's a bit of a pain and it's an easy chore to skip- until it hurts your yield!

Bluelab pH meters are guaranteed to remain calibrated for at least 30 days with proper use and storage practices.

My Bluelab combo meter cost me $200, which is certainly not the cheapest. It is my eyes and ears into what's going on with my roots- and I can't afford anything but 20/20 vision.

Mines are all flashing now due to their shitty calibration solution bottle lids, they crack and then sometimes they fall over and spill every fucking drop out. I think I'll stick to GH solution.I had two bottles of bluelab solution do this.

I've been saving up for a multi meter. Looks like it's time to pull the trigger. For some reason, I like to learn my lessons the hard way.

Everything is def back on track. I lowered the ec to 1.4 as well due to the slightest sign of tip burn at 1.8 ec. Amazing how quickly they responded to the correction.

I also picked up a pack of Silver Back (gg#4 x black cherry pie) by in house genetics from the dank team (black Friday sale). Sounds like fun.

I added a third 600w light tonight, finally got a borrowed ballast back. Fits good, so far zero increase in temp from normal. PH is 6.0 and flowers are starting to stack.
I also got my uv sterilizer today. I don't know exactly what was going on, but some gunk was forming in the water line even with a filter. UV filter has a pump on it as well, so it keeps thing from getting stagnant. We'll see what happens, hopefully it keeps crap from growing in the top off rez tank.

Everything looks pretty good. EC is at 1.4, ph 5.9-6.0. I added nutes to the top off rez at 1.4 ec as well. I have the uv sterilizer in there and it really seems to be working well in regards to keeping anything from growing in the non-chilled top off rez. Since ec is staying constant at 1.4, I'm guessing that is where it should be? I lost about a week of good growth due to that low ph thing, but I'm happy with where things are now. Ladies are really starting to frost up, and the calyx's are swelling more than I've seen in any previous grow with this strain. She is not a big producer, but the quality is way up there imo. Should be done at the end of this month ish.

except the medical programs are all bogus bullshit in these states..........where they exist at all....

I could dig CO. No oceans though so perhaps vacation home.

Though thats a shitty vacation area.

New England is nice...Has a mix of everything in a small area. Mountains and ocean. My favorite places.

Time to dump GH nutes. Don't support Monsanto!

I'm out here in CO too. I've lived all over and to me this is one of the safest places with the most freedoms, at least outside of metro areas, although a nice Caribbean island does not sound too bad either. Right now I'm just running GH 3 part, but will cut out the grow and just use micro and bloom after they are done stretching. I just get bored and want to try new things, but GH is cheap and easy imo.

This strain does have the frost, for sure. You can see trichromes covering the leaves. Really starting to get smelly too. I have to close the door to the room when I open the tent or else I get an ear full of how it stinks up the entire house.
Lol cry me a river...

'Bitchin' or braggin', bro?'

Well, my other half does enough bitchin for both of us. If it's not one thing, it's another. Can't win.
I think you should 'buy' a big boat and park it in the driveway. When she melts down, mention that she didn't like what you were doing so you figured you'd just get something YOU wanted with the funds, lol

When she's done freaking out on you, let her in on the joke. Her reaction will tell you everything you need to know...
