Well hope everyone had a good new year!
Me not so much, stayed in on the eve actually, feeling a little bit evil, if you will. Thats my fault, however, a couple days later on the third, the asshole neighbor who does airconditioning work and rapes elderly people on the bill got me rilled up. First off the ahole dips into the senior couples bank account this summer by charging 500 bucks on a 30 minute repair, (a bad switching diode) that connets to the compressor. I called him up and informed him that I had 3 people who do the repair for 125 bucks or less. He informed me to get bent, I informed him that I would bash is fucking skull in and then he went on tell me that he would kill me, so I told him I would be waiting outside with some of the members from the club and we would want to see this. He reluntantly apologized and returned the elder couple their money. Well, that was this summer, and on the third of Jan I was going out to my car and the asshilt drives by and gives me the finger, I reply with a hey f you! He stops and as I was walking up to his window the cowering lil bitch pulls what looks like a 40 or a 9. I advised him to pull the trigger or to get out of his vehicle, after beating on his window for a couple of minutes he decides to call the police, while Im just off felony probation, I wanted nothing to do with this. I jumped town for a couple of days, with no warrant issued to my knowledge. Lets just say some ahole hasnt seen the last of my associates, Im NOT NOT NOT talking dig a hole, as if I was, I wouldnt be broadcatsing it here, but a good face rubbing on the street is "possibly" in order. Im not a tuff guy but my limit to ass holes has a very short boundry.
Got that off my chest!
The good news is that after spending 300 bucks at the grow shop in phoenix on mcdowell (big shout out), we have 25 soil plants transplanted to 5 gal bags full of happy frog. The 2 gal slug that they were in was cheap local composted soil, containing lime, volcanic ash, topsoil, wood chips, and horse cocka, it was cheap and all we could get (afford) at the time, but lesson learned.... if you want to grow with quality, you get what you pay for! The stuff is garbage, while the plants have sustained in the poor soil, and have even grown, but with much yellowing, and slower than normal rate of growth. Dont be cheap!!
This leaves me with commercial airpump we got today and the 8 or so big airstones, I was going to get a 8 head manifold but I think the stock 6 head will be enough for the 4 x 8 flood table we picked up on craigslist. Lots of air, something like 1100 gals of air a minute, so plenty of bubbles for a 100 gal flood table.
Whats next....? Well I have a combination of 40 plants in soil and in bubble buckets, (12 or so strains), Im going to get the table up on saw horses and plywood, plumb it to sealed tight, run the airlines/stones, drill out 2 inch holes on 8 inch centers in the 1.5 inch styroboard, and then I will start placing the neoprene inserts into the styroboard. Before placing the plants in their sites, Im going to take cuttings from the larger ones and bonzai trim the larger root structures, so that they are all about the same size! Even canapy, plus Im guessing Im going to end up with 100 or so cuttings, if anyone is going to be near Phoenix, let me know and you can have some freebies on me. The rest will probably go outside with no veg time to just flower out in plastic keg cups, should be fun to watch, (somg) sea of midget green.
Once thats done I will add the dutch masters feed line to the table, I decided to spend a lil extra dead presidents on the chemicals, because once again, you get what you pay for. Ultimatly the price on D.M. was very cheap in compare to gh, humboldt, botanigarbage, and a few others.
So thats tommorrow task, as transplanting 24 two gal conatiners to 5 gal ones took up the bulk of today. Its funny when it comes transplant time with soil, all patients and friends become scarce! Oh well!
I will get some pics of the table as soon as Im done, as Im most excited, and hope it proves to be most glorious.
Happy frog and guard kitty on duty.
