That's because you're not an economist. Component is fine. Security is a necessary component for the non-functional parts of the world (that are the source of poverty and violence) to become functional, and it must be exported from the functional to the non-functional world if you want to ever have a poverty free and war-free world. Something I think is very possible by the way.

Like the guys in black suits surrounding our top non functional part.

whether they are dressed in black or blue they are going to end up black and blue if they go stepping on my liberties and I am not bullshitting. A trained military veteran armed and well-trained. I do not agree with privatized soldiers of fortune being turned on our country, especially these assholes. I have worked with and around a few of these operators and they have given me the feeling they have no souls. So thats my two bits. Only difference between cops and them though is these guys are VERY well trained and take great pride in their precision.

That makes 2 of us.The problem with you're way of thinking is that if we are turned on it will be by the UN blue helmets.Americans don't exterminate Americans.The really cool thing is the blue helmets make awesome targets.

I thank you for your service as well, its always nice to see a like mind. Speaking for myself, im ready to go outside the wire on a dime. Considering I can get the logo on a can at 50 with pop up calls, blue helmet action is going to be great, almost funny. Because a .45 to the dome will make that funny bell sound, even if a follow up is necessary! (double tap for fun?)


I think anyone that is single, needs to be paid, and is hungry is fully capable of turning on anyone. But history is always proof that it can and will happen again. I simply believe that the United States is no exception, especially with all the evidence lately. I would like to believe that Americans would not fire on Americans, but the sad fact is that the large majority of Americans are already brainwashed to accept authority, and the Milgram experiment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment proves it best. For the last 50 years our nation has dummied down its school programs, fed bs into our eyes and ears since the 30's ...and the propaganda has just been getting better and better. Our minds have collectively become accepting of whatever bullshit is given to us by anyone in a suit, and the belief that we cant do anything about it. It sucks that our lives and political leaders are actually slaves to their own greed and immoral souls, because the global corporations actually make all the laws using our politicians as a means to an end. Therefore, the enemy will be those either hired by the global corporations directly or unknowingly; and our standing armies will be used as well. I hope every soldier will realize they have the power to stand down if an order is unlawful/unconstitutional, but as with getting our anthrax shots; get it and sign the waiver or dont and get discharged... well you see how that ends up for most of us. I can only hope that by my getting the message out to as many people as possible, and by people spreading the message in other ways, such as the Oathkeepers http://oathkeepers.org/oath/

The fact that little more than 600 people truly
make all the decisions for the 300million, regardless of what the majority feels the decision should be, is despicable. Just need everyone to wake the fuck up and realize that 600 people are very easy to get rid of. And you just use the power the constitution gave you.

But before that time, if they come stomping on my liberties, there is no longer a choice. Im a patriot and a constitutionalist; I abide by an Oath I have made several times and I take very seriously. If you have taken that Oath, even once, remember that it is a lifelong Oath. Anyone who reads this, WE here to protect YOU. Even if you are not willing or able to stand up for the liberties God gave you, and whether you believe that or not, WE have pledged an Oath to guarantee you those liberties. And im no armchair warrior.

Edit: nice patch indeed. I am far too concerned about security to cross link anything able to be data mined and linked to moi but my family is all military, air force to army delta force

Ok, I don't know how my thread about private security contractors ended up with paranoid delusion about shooting UN peacekeepers. Newsflash, the UN doesn't have troops, countries put them on loan for very specific peacekeeping operations and they are basically unarmed in most cases. If they end up on your lawn, by all means....shoot them.

Anyhow...I appreciate you guys serving in the military and hearing your opinions on blackwater, but I don't want this to become another stupid left vs. right thread, where everyone reverts to insults and tired old debates. There's enough of those. I wanted to talk about the very real problem of our national security being outsourced to mercenaries who have their own agenda. I'm not talking about truckdrivers and builders, although I think there's a lot of shady shit going on there as well, I'm talking about the guys who think they are on a crusade against islam and above any laws, military or civilian. Not to mention that our taxes pay for this shit....don't tell me you think this is ok.

Go look at my opening post and see if it contained any premise or judgement about it. I asked a very simple, straightforward, factual question and it got turned into this. I've been pretty clear on what I think about blackwater and maybe it was a loaded question but obviously some of you would rather talk about shooting at blue helmets...

I dont think paid mercenaries are a good thing, period. It is one thing to be a patriot, joining an army or navy to support your country in earnest, but to do service to people who pay for your service... Not a good thing to me, from personal experience. They are highly trained, efficient killers, whos job is their life and their hobby. Imagine you went to Iraq and you got wounded and came back to the states, your wife cheated on you with your best friend then left you and you have nothing going for you. You have PTSD, and getting along with normal folks in a gas station isnt for you. Its awkward, and no one can relate to you. Then you get a notice by email about the prosect of using your services in the private sector.. Blackwater. So, you go to "protect" embassadors, Halliburton trucks, oil surveyists, political figures, corrupt or not, etc. Your moral prospects at this time are completely crushed by the recent pasts events. You are a hollow form of what used to be a man fighting for what was good. Except now you are just providing a service, and getting paid well. *shrug* It feels like we could have broken vets and thugs alike, weekend warriors, and those crazy folks who just want a legal reason to kill another person as crazy as it sounds. (ive met a few of those)

Blackwater or any other type of Paid Merc Service = Bad in my book.

We can't tie up precious armed forces (A,N,AF,M) escorting and guarding the construction element of rebuilding/building war zones. It's a matter of efficiency.
