The videos kinda gay but gives the idea. The funnel is optional, it can be a bottle or a simple piece of card rolled up like a coke straw.

Invest in the glass rods and a torch from any hardware store or walmart, tastes delicious and usually has another side that you can heat up to roast bowls. worth the 20 imo. knifes and the stove are killer when in a pinch though.

IMHO its cleaner , its sorta like vaping old skewl style lol...jus a red hot knife , no fire or gas. If you got a lil nug of hash or some oil try it out....i use a butane torch instead fo the stove for convineinece...but if my buddies are over ill fire up the stove for old time sake lol
edit; its cleaner if you have a decent knife...some of the new cheap knives are coated in toxic shit...i went thru about 5 knives in the drawer till i found a safe one, then i burtn the fuck outa it to make sure it burtn clean

I can work with anything, three or fall small pinches of weed or a ball of hash scrapped from the grinder is enough to give you a blasting high. The hotter the knives though, the harsher and more hot the smoke is.

i find a sweet spot for the heat...i get it all cherry red..then blow on it a lil till it dims out..then i hit it....think of it like finding the perfect vape temp

Lots of maoris in new zealand smoke spots, its economical way of smoking and gets you ultra blazed. Its common to roll the bud in a little oil or resin. I've seen those pen blowtorchs you can buy in the electronics or hardware stores fixed onto a bent knife for portable spots?

We use to use a tube or straw to suck up the smoke but after a while I decided just to use my lips. Never burned my lips but have sucked up my fair share of hash chunks, burning coals and you'll do a little dance.. Started doing hot knives in the 70's and when we were in a bar we would just squeeze a smoke flat get a heater going on it than drop the hash on it, drove them nuts in the bars trying to find who was doing it.
