Do you have a steam, deck oven? Your bread looked awesome.
My daughter has one of these showing up at the end of the month. She’ll only be able to do 12 total unlike the picture showing more. We should be receiving it by the end of the month. Eventually going to have 2 of them.

... Usually in linen you're working over 2, so in actuality it's like 16 count ...
True - 16 count finished design without the background weave of the cloth which is the really nice aspect about using linen. Like stitching on a pillow case.

And no, we are not related

However, the holes in the fabric were really hard to find - especially when the needle is on the underside.
... I'd love to see some of her work ...
I'll try to grab a picture of the project she's working on now. Almost all of her prior work has been given out as gifts.

Morning ...

If that smell is pleasant, then yes, it's Friday.

If not, then it's probably Hamilton.
The biggest business in my town makes breakfast cereals. We smell what they're making all the time and it's variable depending on what they're making. Sweet confection and grain fermenting smells but occasionally they make something that reminds me of a tunafish sandwich. Formerly Malt-o-Meal, they were bought out by post cereals a decade ago.

i've seen those! $$$ but you can pay for them pretty quickly with the increased capacity. i bought my first oven in 2015, then the second one in 2017. both are workhorses, and i love them. the guy who designed the rackmaster came up with the idea because he saw the demand that rofco distributors couldn't keep up with. solid ovens, designed by a baker. would love to hear what she thinks of them! i fit 12 in my rofco; if she scales the loaves at 2#/900g, she *should* be able to fit four per shelf.

i used to work in a building that was between a turkey processing plant - as in taking live turkeys, killing them, turning them into frozen whole birds; and a lunchmeat processor. literally it ALWAYS smelled terrible outside when i'd walk to my car around 5pm. i was a vegan the whole time i worked there LOL

There are lots of hog farms around me. One is just a couple miles away. In the spring they pump out their holding tanks and spread liquefied manure on the crop fields. Good times if the wind is right (wrong)!
