I know it's not Hump Day ...

But in a little over 24 hours, Mrs. S. and I will be heading to Pearson Intl for our B.C. Mainland and Vancouver Island vacation. Flying out early on Monday morning means we use airport hotel parking services Sunday night. And since we won't be here for the next two weeks, now was the perfect time to take some more cuts and just let them chill under the dome.

2 - Sept 28th Cuts taken.jpg

Let's consider this my next 2 Hump Day contributions. 14 days from now, we will have returned from the Left Coast and these ladies will have rooted. Then I can reboot the grow from scratch and properly train the chosen ones for the flower tent.

Is it weird to be more amped about my next grow than I am about our vacation?

Harvest is done, now to reset for the next one. This last plant just went into the newest flowering system -

I love the healthy roots these days -

Newest system humming along. Got Oreoz, Gasonade, Blue Dream and GG4 in here -

3 week old system, had to break and tuck under a lot of wayward branches -

IMG_0877.JPG

Oldest system with 3 weeks to go. Looking good -

Hungry clones waiting to be put into the veg chamber. Doing that today -

Almost empty veg chamber, gotta clean and refill. Looks like I was able to save my Exhalation strain. That largest plant is ready to become a mom and continue the lineage. Such a great strain, glad she pulled through. Tired of plant shit again, looking forward to a few weeks off...

Jenga - Ganja version. And to think - I was actually planning on taking a tolerance break while I was away. It would be the longest sans pot stretch since I started growing. Last spring, I went 10 days without.

But after seeing that tower of flower ...
There's not been a tolerance break here for some time, but a few years ago I did strictly tinctures for several months. Joints and Ghirardelli brownies work well these days.

Really enjoyed time spent in BC - from West Hastings/Gastown, Stanley Park, White Rock and Whistler - beautiful views are abundant.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to make both an Everclear tincture and a couple lbs. of cannabutter when I get back ...

Squamish & Whistler ... Stanley Park and environs ... then we are off to the Island for the bulk of the break. Qualicom Beach, Nanaimo, Tofino ...

Then we are gonna meet up with my co-worker over the last four days in Victoria.

This is a Bruce Banner I bought as a clone. It's a strain I always wanted to try but never had a hook up. Lookin' pretty nice. I should probably start looking for the loupe...

Kinda crowded/hard to get a good shot of only one plant in there :D Gonna be a fun finish here. 15 plants in the hoop...13 different strains.
4 more strains hangin' about up in the veggie garden.

Tired of plant shit again
I remember those thoughts while looking at 20 5-gallon pails full of hydroton I needed to wash/sterilize...

but man...don't say that shit >too loudly<..." 'cus all good things have to come to an end...it's the same with the Wildwood weed..."

free buds/hash for all around here. Stop by anytime. Bring yer own smokin' utensils.

Thanks to Hurricane Helene, our power went out on Friday morning and did not come back on until
5:30 on Saturday evening.

The wind was blowing so much, it was raining sideways. A section of fence got blown down.

It is a pain in the ass to have to secure perishables and frozen goods.

Spent the last 2 nights in a hotel. Just getting back home this morning.

Tree limbs and lawn furniture scattered all over the lawn. It's a mess out there.

This is as bad as I have seen in many years, and the longest we have been without power in maybe 40 years.

Hope the recovery goes well. Looks bad in places.

Happy Sunday y’all. Think the GG is gonna come down in the next few days. Rot really did a number on that plant this year :(

Got the remainder spread between the garage, umbrella and a few into the pop up greenhouse.
If I was a smarter man, I would have utilized this for early stage to keep squirrels out and set the canopies.

Gonna limp a few of these over the finish and recalibrate. Lessons learned; four would have been easier to manage back there and I should have utilized the greenhouse from the beginning to save critter heartache etc.

Yields will be dinky, but more knowledge was gained. Be easy and stay elevated friends!
