Do you guys still ride?
My bikes are kick start and my back won't let me. If I hit a good bump I probably couldn't walk from it.
Pre helmet law I hit a big blue dragonfly just off center in my forehead when I was doing about 75. Luckily it hit off center enough that I could keep one eye open till I got stopped. My glasses were almost knocked off. I sat and cried on the side of the road till I could see again.

Loved the big Honda touring bikes and preferred the Valkyrie ... the Gold Wing without all the plastic. Smooth and comfy and with a gentle roll of the throttle, those Valkyries were off like a shot ...

... but Mrs. S. and I chose real estate.
Still have an '03 1500 Vulcan Nomad that hasn't been ridden much in the last three years. An oil change and brakes last year was over $500 - plus insurance at over a grand makes it expensive to sit on a few times a year. May sell it next year. Lots of dangers on the road these days and the CJ7 is much safer.

There's always one of these for when I get to geezerdom.

I too decided on real estate in the early 90s and sold my VW so we could buy a fridge, stove, washer and dryer. She had the downpayment. I miss that car. Fuel injected 1600, with air shocks to keep the mags from scrubbing, moon roof, velour seats, 10" subs and 6x9s driven with a 400 Watt amp and Craig cassette deck.

I had a 73 and a 59. And a sandrail. I rebuilt the sandrail when I was 15-16.

My Yamaha 650 Twin was also a kicker ... and my back and I agree with you @raratt - it was easier to find a hill to roll down to get that little thumper going rather than trying to kick start it
The Triumph 650 I have is a competition model that came stock with 12-1 compression and race cams, one of 635 made in 1965. I weigh 225 and I have to mean it to kick it over.

Last kickstarter I had was Honda 600XL and it smacked my knee and launched me over handle bars a few times.
I have ridden a 2 stroke Kawasaki 750 and it was a blast but too fast and trouble to own. I have had my share of crashes on MCs and they get more painful with age.
